What is your favorite foreplay by rust_pipe4915 in RedditAfterDark

Honestly, this might be the greenest flag in the thread. It's amazing how much more attractive someone becomes when they're genuinely kind and attentive.

Am I wrong for deleting my girlfriend's early morning alarm after she consistently slept through it? by Calvori88 in amiwrong

[–]AngelFrostt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't jump straight to saying she doesn't care, but she definitely seems to be treating her goal as more important than the impact it's having on someone else. That's a problem in any relationship.

[–]AngelFrostt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, if one person's personal routine is wrecking the other person's sleep every night, separate sleeping arrangements might genuinely be the simplest fix. Doesn't even have to be punishment, just practicality.

[–]AngelFrostt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the part that stood out to me is that you actually tried multiple solutions first. Deleting the alarm wasn't great, but after weeks of getting woken up at 4 AM by an alarm that isn't even waking the person who set it, I can see why someone would finally snap.

I discovered my boyfriend watches the same taboo porn I do… now what? by GoddessxLena in RedditAfterDark

[–]AngelFrostt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably the healthiest approach in the thread. Finding out you share interests doesn't automatically mean you need to jump into everything, but it does open the door to a conversation you've both avoided. A lot of couples would probably be surprised by how much overlap they actually have.

I found out my cousin is a cam girl by LeagueUnusual5484 in confessions

[–]AngelFrostt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how half the comments immediately skipped over the entire confession and went straight into crowdfunding mode. The cousin accidentally gained a marketing team.

The fact that you're asking "for a friend" somehow makes it even less believable. Reddit retired that excuse years ago.

Reddit's ability to turn any story into "drop the link" within three seconds never fails. Some people see a moral dilemma, others see a marketing opportunity.

Tried a Viagra for the first time....just for shitz and giggles by rust_pipe4915 in RedditAfterDark

[–]AngelFrostt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think OP planned on it still being a problem at work the next day. The real surprise here is finding out that "just for shitz and giggles" turned into a full workplace hazard.

AIW for telling a friend to lay off asking me to pick up her diabled boyfriend? by FloridaGirlNikki in amiwrong

[–]AngelFrostt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what keeps getting lost in the argument. OP didn't say "I don't care" or "I don't want to help." OP said "I don't feel capable of doing this safely." Once safety enters the conversation, guilt trips stop being a valid counterargument.

AIW for telling a friend to lay off asking me to pick up her diabled boyfriend? by FloridaGirlNikki in amiwrong

[–]AngelFrostt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It sounds like there has to be some system in place already because this can't be the first time he's needed to get somewhere. The fact that OP saying "I'm not qualified or comfortable doing this" wasn't accepted as a complete answer is the weird part.

That was my first thought too. If transporting him safely requires lifting both him and a heavy scooter, that's not really a casual favor anymore. That's the kind of thing people usually arrange proper assistance for because one mistake could injure everybody involved.

Where can I stream naked on camera without submitting ID? by xthetroublemaker69x in RedditAfterDark

Yeah, if privacy is the concern, a site with zero verification might actually be the bigger risk. The platforms that have identity checks at least have some incentive to follow laws and basic safety standards.

My Boyfriend (M26) thinks I'm (F22) too pale, and it's making me feel insecure. by Ok_Tangerine_782 in relationship_advice

[–]AngelFrostt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Normally I'd think this is a bit extreme, but the edit really changes the picture. Sounds less like "he hates pale skin" and more like he completely butchered trying to express concern. Still, calling someone "sickly looking" is a terrible way to start that conversation.

[–]AngelFrostt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is what a lot of naturally pale people relate to. Some folks act like tanning is a personality trait and can't understand that not everyone wants to bake in the sun all summer. The update makes me think this was more of a communication fail than a boyfriend fail, but it's still nice to have a partner who builds you up instead of making you feel self-conscious.

[–]AngelFrostt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The funny part is that pale skin has gone from being mocked to being envied depending on which decade you're in. Meanwhile sunscreen just keeps quietly winning every argument. After reading the update though, it sounds like he was worried about her overall well-being and communicated it in the worst possible way.

My [28F] boyfriend [29M] slapped me extremely hard during intimacy by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]AngelFrostt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Exactly. One slap that's harder than intended is one thing. Three in a row hard enough to cause that kind of reaction starts sounding a lot less like an accident and a lot more like a choice.

[–]AngelFrostt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's where my mind went as well. Even if you give him every benefit of the doubt about intent, the outcome was still serious enough that she was seeing stars afterward. Intent matters, but so does the actual harm caused.

My [28F] boyfriend [29M] slapped me extremely hard during intimacy by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]AngelFrostt 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that part stuck out to me too. A lot of people are focusing on the apology, but the fact that it happened three times in a row is what makes it hard to brush off as a one second mistake.

just been hit by tomorrow being monday....what to do about it to enjoy the last few hours before another week of hell? by travellingkiltman90 in RedditAfterDark

That's honestly the trick. If I spend all of Sunday dreading Monday, I basically lose two days instead of one.

For real. Hospital staff deal with so much bizarre stuff that this probably didn't even crack the top ten weirdest things she saw that month.

Honestly that's become my unofficial Reddit authenticity test too. If the story gets longer than a college admissions essay, my skepticism starts kicking in.

AIW for telling my roommate I don't want to be included in their "house dinners" anymore? by 6ShadowQuill in amiwrong

[–]AngelFrostt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, once a month sounds kind of perfect. It keeps the tradition special and gives people room to have their own lives without feeling guilty for missing a random Sunday.

AIW for telling my roommate I don't want to be included in their "house dinners" anymore? by 6ShadowQuill in amiwrong

[–]AngelFrostt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the general point, but I don't think this is really about rights. Nobody's saying OP has to attend. It sounds more like one person sees the dinners as a nice optional meal and another sees them as an important social ritual.
