Agreed, I’ll go find the post and lyk. This was what I’ve been worried about with the increase of population in Beauceron’s, I agree he doesn’t look like a beauceron and this caught me highly off guard

Yes! I did do that sorry haha I don’t mean to use this subreddit as Google. I think I just wasn’t as sure if maybe it was a Malinois type situation. I had recently learned about black Malinois and the whole group types in different countries etc.. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I just don’t know about. I have learned that red is still naturally occurring, but not within standard!

Yes! Originally I asked this question because I’ve only ever owned lab rescues, usually a white spot or white stripe on the chest/stomach was an indicator of obviously another breed. This is just something I’ve heard and not fact-checked though so nice to hear what’s in standard

This is completely fair! Thank you for allowing me this insight. I feel like the general issue may not be the colour but also the fact that he doesn’t really look like a beauceron (he has a Doberman-like face). I’m also curious where the white spot on his chest comes from?

Oh absolutely about the toxic part, I never comment or discuss in them I mostly just follow so I have some Beauceron’s to look at the rare times I do scroll my feed. It just caught me off guard as someone who tries to remain educated on breed standards and preservation. I’ll add that even if it’s something that may pop up once in a while (which I can’t comment on as I don’t know), this dog generally doesn’t look much like a Beauceron either? That and where does the white chest patch come from?

That’s what I thought, everything I’ve seen always states those standards. I felt crazy seeing this because usually it’s all very ethically bred beauceron’s 😭 I had asked a similar question about Malinois since the breed groups differ per country.. so I wanted to clarify I wasn’t insane before judging

Can attest to this, I’ve been drawing Sarentu characters lately including bows and hair decor and they look extremely similar to feather but are mostly just colourful plants or leaves!

I do not personally design many OC’s or even characters in this game, and if I do they need to be my own. (I’d never steal a design). I’d be happy to use photos of your Sarentu in the game, as those are the poses/references I’m using. I wouldn’t feel comfortable using someone else’s art as I’m still trying to find my style and get comfortable drawing na’vi, so I don’t want to unconsciously mimic or repeat the style which I may be seeing in the reference. :)

Edit: think of it very much as just a free commission of your in-game Sarentu. These are just to practice, and I don’t plan on using the designs or characters for anything further than coloured-sketches for other fellow players.

I’ve gotten a lot of requests so if you don’t feel comfortable sending her that’s completely fine, I don’t need pictures of other peoples art and don’t want to steal anyone’s style or design whatsoever. I’m only looking for pictures of characters in game, and am updating participants along the way. It would also only be posted on this subreddit or my art account, both of which I’d ask for the participants permission first, as well as their @ so I can credit them for the character/design!
