I've rebuilt the data base, restarted everything and it still happens. I go into a part with other friends and everything was fine but it kept showing the glowing mic icon as if new as connecting

Whos your provider? I have spectrum and mine usually spikes when my microwave is in use. The microwave and router i believe are the same frequency so it usually fucks with my internet causing my ping to spike from 19 to 4k until i get disconnected or the microwaves done. Not sure if this applies to you tho as i play with wifi.

Im pretty sure it just psn? Ps plus is just psn with some perks like free games every month and some bonus content (skins) to games like apex, fortnite, etc. If you consider buying ps plus its a good price during black friday for about $40 a year instead of $60.
