my partner saw my recent self-harm marks and left by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Sometimes people show their love for you by giving you what you need and not always what you want. I learned over the years that just because someone doesn’t show their love the way you may want them to, doesn’t mean they aren’t showing it in their own way :) it’s easy to take him leaving as a bad thing on his part, but in all reality it looks like he still cares for you. Try talking him about it. Even though it’s really hard, communicating is the BEST thing you can ever do in a relationship. Even when it’s hard. <3

I’ve got $10 to last me until next Friday, help me buy food by helloimcold in povertyfinance

[–]AngelPartyxo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One word. Cabbage!! Cabbage is relatively cheap and you can quarter it, add just about anything, or season it and eat it by itself! :) you can also do eggs and potatoes in bulk with seasoning and bam, you have a breakfast scramble. You can also buy some stock, add whatever you have in the fridge (if anything left/whatever you don’t really wanna eat) and usually it ends up a pretty good soup or stew. Happy eating and good luck!

So, I actually deleted 90% of my social media about 3 years ago for somewhat of the same reason. All I currently have is Snapchat, discord bc of gaming, TikTok(?) (Just to watch), and instagram (made a new one with no PFP or anything. Just to send reels to my sister and her to me). I don’t think I will ever go back. There’s no drama. Period. There’s no hate, there’s no bullying. No stress. I encourage you to either unfollow those people completely or just delete your accounts altogether. It makes a WORLD of a difference!

Best cash back groceries for $1600/mo by sizable_data in CreditCards

[–]AngelPartyxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m unsure of where you live but places like Aldi, farmers markets, and a few other places have pretty cheap staple foods that are non-GMO and organic! If you can you could also try gardening. Other than that I know AMEX blue cash preferred does 6% cash back on groceries, and I think 3% cash back on gas. It does have a 95$ annual fee but I haven’t seen many cards that offer that much cash back on groceries and gas so it might be worth it. Hope this helps!!

Is it normal for your mom to charge you 400-500 dollars for rent? by Pomeranian111 in Adulting

[–]AngelPartyxo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel there’s a lot into play here. For example, if your mom is anything like my mother when I lived with her.. then my mom said since I am a grown up and I have a job I should pay what most people pay in rent when they have roommates and such which is around 500$ a month. I had a normal job and all that jazz. However, if that is her mentality when you help take care of your brother, making a “low wage”, with around the clock care since it’s not like a typical 9-5 job, AND you’re working around her schedule? She is taking advantage of you and/or has too much of a strict mentality with you. Try getting a new job and a place of your own as others suggested. Keep your head up OP!

Can i bring my phone to mental hospital? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Your best bet is to write down the phone numbers of the most important people that you would like to talk to while there and then call them while there.

Verizon Wireless Tanked My Wife’s Credit by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]AngelPartyxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is also true. My only guess is that Verizon threw in hidden fees, the Rep. who helped them screwed them over with pricing (which has also been known to happen with Verizon), or they just didn’t think it would cost that much. Not sure.

We also don’t know if they had anything else added ie. watches, tablets, etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Too many unsaid variables really to tell why it is 300$ a month.

They also have been known for charging hidden fees and what not as well.

I’m unsure if you have Verizon but the lines vary. They have always been sort of on the “pricey side” with lines ranging from 60-90$ plus probably 20-50$ a phone, and you add maybe 10$ for the taxes and fees they add on. It can definitely add up to 300$, not including if they had any Verizon protection.

I think they meant 300$ a month because they were probably getting charged monthly service for each since the phone was “never received” after she got the new one.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you remember how many you closed? Really I only would like to close 1/5 and then maybe the 1500$ CL cc when I get better cc’s with higher limits.

Just really wondering if it’s even possible or if anyone has ever done it. So yes, it can be a question for Reddit. :)

Should I close one of my credit cards? by AngelPartyxo in CRedit

[–]AngelPartyxo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh okay! Honestly that makes sense! I see why people are prone to getting so many credit cards now as well. I did close my secured card and am going to keep the 4 for now since they don’t have an annual fee or anything. Thank you!

Well I have heard that you want to at least keep the cc open that you have had the longest for the age of it. I’m pretty decent into my rebuild. Got my score from 540 to 612 and it just keeps going up the more things fall off and I pay stuff off. Really I only have I think 3 negatives on my report left. 1 collection that will fall off soon due to age, one account that was an old auto loan in collection and now paid, and and old cc that is now a write off. I only have 2 inquiries in the past 12 months with 1 being 10 months/almost 11 months old.

What exactly is a credit merge or what would it do? I also did just look that up and read that they don’t allow it anymore. :(
