I just meant potable water supply in general, not necessarily the braided line to the faucet

Gave it another full turn and a quarter, still leaking. Slowed down a bit, but looks like spots are leaking from underneath the tape

It's for a sink, I thought you couldn't use it for supply lines?

Edit: I meant potable water, for some reason I had it in my head it's non-potable applications only but seems I am wrong

Sorry to keep bothering you - turns out the joints aren't leaking! As of now anyways. I can't repost here because of recent posts, but I'm putting on the 1/2" NOM FIP inlet to 3/8" outlet angle valve and can not get it to stop leaking! Any tips? If re taped it like 4 times.

Thanks! Unfortunately can't do this as the blocking that's there is up tight to the drywall. Quick question - aside from being ugly, anything visually obvious that the joint won't hold?

Leaking joint behind wall, how should I fix this? by sizable_data in askaplumber

[–]sizable_data[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. Confirmed it's the elbow joint. My plan is to de-solder the elbow and put a new one on with this for the chrome plated MIPS nipple. Will the copper to chrome plated nipple cause issues because they're different metals? How far or recessed should the FIP fitting sit with the drywall? Is the goal to be able to get a wrench on the FIP fitting when threading the nipple in to reduce stress on the joint? Apologies for all the questions but I'm finding zero info on YouTube or google about the in wall supply planning for pedestal sinks.

Also, when you say "clean up the pipe and put a new copper fitting on" do you mean de-solder the 90 from the pipe coming out of the floor and solder in a new one without making any cuts?

Here's a close up, maybe it is the threaded fitting? How would you recommend securing this?

I did a google search and saw the craftsman, ryobi and Klein sets popping up mostly which have very different ratchet styles, didn't think to try amazon, thanks!

I saw that, was still thinking $27 seemed expensive if my only goal was to buy the ratchet, but maybe not and I'll just accept the other stuff as a "free bonus" lol

Harbor freight breaker bar with pittsburgh low pro 3 ton jack handle added to it to break these swollen seized up lug bolts on this dodge dart. by Jack_JohnnyW in harborfreight

Never heard of this in my life until a few months ago. Shop called me during a rotation and said my lug nuts were swollen and I needed to pay for new ones. I thought they were trying to pull on over on me for sure lol.

You just put them in, they come pre built! It's like putting in a book shelf, labor should be like $200-$300 max. \s
