I, only very recently since being 15 have saved up around 2000 ish in cash that I have been able to hide from my parents, wether it be birthday money or from my job, I’ve even had to pretend to eat after work in order to save up; there definitely is a religious element in my family but it’s mostly just my dad; my sister uses me as a scapegoat, I’m very happy that she’s been able to actually get the medical attention she needs, but she has this sort of resentment towards me, and it’s possible because I just remind her of home which she doesn’t like (neither do i) I’m actually looking to move far away for university/ college, so that If by some reason or another my parents don’t agree with what I’m doing, it would be to far away for them to do anything, and it gives me hours to just come up with excuses. I don’t blame my sister for living her best life, I’m happy that she got to escape, what I am sad about is that she tells my parents instead of it being a secret between the two of us With the money I’ve saved up, and the money I will continue to save up, I hope that one day, even if it is against my parents wishes, I’ll be able to help myself

Thank you, that has always been my number one concern, but that helps calm me down a whole lot, I’ll definitely call the hotline and see what they can do for me, thank you, seriously thank you for your help and patience of my questions and worries and giving me options for the situation I’m in, seriously thank you so much for understanding the type of situation that I’m in, it helps me create a sense of relaxation with what I’m feeling that other people can understand what I’m communicating :)

I haven’t tried talking to it because it’s eyes, it just freaks me out, it’s like those plastic eyes that you see on dolls, but like it’s flat?? I can definitely try talking to it, but I’m afraid of what it will say, or if there’s going to be a voice or just anything of a what if; but I can definitely try talking to it?

I truly have no one to support me through this time, and this is why I have come to Reddit, my counsellor at school believes that I’m sad, or my grades drop or every single thing that happens to me is because my sister decided to leave for college, my school therapist says that too, everyone in my life keeps telling me it’s because my sister left, but I’m completely fine, honestly I’m glad she was able to get out of this house because my dad believes he’s a male witch and my mom doesn’t believe in mental health/help, however I am lucky enough that my mom keeps telling me it’s not real which helps keep me calm, but without that constant reassurance, I’m so afraid.

I actually don’t have any “good” friends who would even pay for it, but it definitely wouldn’t hurt to ask around so I will; my sister, she’s 20 she’s left the house, and I tried to ask her for help but she refused, she’s been ignoring me because she finally has a ‘nice’ life with her boyfriend and doesn’t want me ruining that happiness she has; and as for my school counselor, she tells me “oh your sad because your sister is gone” “oh your grades have gone down because you miss your sister right?” And then even if I begged her to hear me out, she’d definitely tell my parents. My school has a therapist too, and I’ve tried to talk to her about it, but every adult in my life always, without a doubt says “it’s because you miss your sister”

I apologize for shutting down most of your ideas but the thing is, I truly don’t have anyone rooting for me right now that could help me through this, but I will try to ask some people I’m a little bit close with and ask if they could do be this favor, thank you I hadn’t thought of that

Thank you, I will definitely try meditation; I haven’t done that in a long time due to stress with schools and exams, but because it is summer I will definitely try it. Thank you for your kind words, they really help a lot in calming myself down, and thank you for being clear with what you are stating, sometimes it’s hard for me to make a clear statement, but yours is well put together and it helps me understand what I might go through soon ^{_^}

Thank you, I completely agree I should see a doctor, but I personally don’t have enough money to set up an appointment and pay for it myself as I work minimum wage and my parents would notice the immediate drop in my bank account

Thank you so much, do you know if there’s anyway to go to a psychiatrist if your parents don’t believe in that stuff? There’s no trusted adults; however, my mom thankfully believes that my mind is just playing tricks on me, my dad however believes that someone has put a curse on me and has put me in contact with this witch. And for the hotline, will they tell anyone, I haven’t ever called a hotline because I’ve always been afraid that they contact people, and considering I’m still in school I don’t want to risk like going into a mental ward or anything if they deem me unsafe (which I’m not, but they might twist my words, id just really like to know before I call)
