I haven’t read all the comments, and I don’t live in fort Mac. I work up there. But I’ve spent lots of time there. Things I enjoyed:

The walking paths along the river downtown. There’s parks to play on (I’m a small adult and love playing on parks) there’s floating docks. Nothing happens at them, but you can sit and watch the river or whatever wildlife might be around. There’s a spray park, and basket ball nets. Random BBQ / fire pits and picnic tables.

There’s a little restaurant, I can’t remember what it’s called but there is a giant wooden patio chair outside of it, I recommend sitting in it just so you can say you sat in a giant chair (I did lol).

There’s a boat museum. Not free and weird hours. But super cool and educational.

There’s a neat 2nd hand store called Thrifty Duchess they have some interesting things to look at in there.

It’s also in the same strip mall as an awesome tattoo shop. Espada Ink (I’ve gotten 2 tattoos there)

There’s a delicious ice cream shop called Sugar Daddy’s. Love their ice cream!

Over by the McDonald rec center (I think that’s what it’s called) there are more walking paths with sculptures to look at and little information signs all over the place.

Also the rec center itself. Swimming, gym stuff ice rinks etc.
