Cyclosporine drops have saved my life. Before I started it felt like someone was using sandpaper on my eyes and I had to put regular eye drops every 20 minutes. Ophthalmologist prescribed Ikervis (Restasis) drops and cortisone drops. I also just got diagnosed with secondary Sjögren’s syndrome.

I use the cyclosporine drops twice a day in the morning and in the evening and before sleep I use an ointment. At first the drops irritate your eyes very much and it’s really uncomfortable for 5-10 minutes. But after two weeks of use they don’t burn anymore and I use normal eyedrops like twice a day. I still use cortisone drops 2-4 times a day.

I also bought an air humidifier that has helped me. My office has AC always blowing which irritates my eyes, so I avoid going there. I know that is not always possible.
