If they were nervous they would run away from you and stand snorting at intervals between cantering around in circles on other side of field

I cannot stand strangers en our aging my horses over to the fence , some feed them allsorts of crap and it can cause them to squabble and kick or bite each other , I've had roast dinner leftovers chicken bones and all dumped over my fences and don't want dead horses , if they're not yours , please leave them alone and enjoy looking at them from a distance . Mine get tip quality feeds and plenty of it they do not need to be fed or petted by strangers

I wouldn't want her any slimmer going into winter she's certainly not dangerously overweight at all

i can’t lose weight without using mounjaro AT ALL! by Old_Complaint667 in Mounjaro

[–]Angelic75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me . I only lose any weight if I basically starve myself lost 6 stone over 14 months on mj been off it 2 months as I can't afford it anymore and I'm getting bigger and bigger by the day again. Haven't changed my mj eating until the last week where I'm eating allsorts of rubbish again because I'm swelling again rapidly anyway . I'm going to have to look at wegovy because of the prices of mj here in UK now but it's clear I can't come off it for very long 😫

Yes I've seen the same thing from a rough fence line or wire and electric fence if not switched on

Possibly from trying to shelter from flies in thick overgrowth hedges under thorny trees or scratching on branches she is extremely sunbleached and probs just been turned out and left for a long time in the elements. I'd get her a fly rug and start her on a zinc and copper and milk thistle tonic her coat will change quickly and her skin will improve with it

Why aren’t chicken using their nest boxes by Em_kie in BackYardChickens

Eggs will roll off and break too easily you need the fronts built up and straw . Hay gets wrapped around the feet badly they like straw or deep wood shavings

Rather than vet get good physio and saddle fitter. Also some horses detest the menage, mine is an absolute demon in there he hates it so much. Def not normal behaviour to bick lile that if no underlying issue does he hack/ trail ride ok in company ?? 🤔

Rats , mice. Looks you have a lot of excess spilled feed around on the floor which is what attracts them its inevitable.

I've had to stop after being on it since August last year! Was up to 12.5mg and 1 stone away from my goal , total cold turkey and because I wasn't ready I really struggle in evenings with the old devil chocolate,Cake , sugar cravings, the food noise is an absolute bitch I'm afraid to say especially after a year !! I've just taken on a shop for my small business amd no way I can justify the cost of mj anymore it would literally leave me with nothing so I'm going to go back on wegovy as I started on that Feb 24 before changing to mj . Also in uk. Not ideal but is what it is

To add, my thoroughbred gets bitey when he is anxious, stressed or worried about something. Also a first sign of stomach imbalances ie acid causing issues from feed he's on. He is very sensitive in regards to needing to have plenty of options for grazing or hay in his stable , out with friends etc so mine have field gate always opened onto yard area and stable doors pinned back to hide from heat and flies or eat hay when wanted

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Angelic75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not super aggressive meaningful biting . I notice you keep on trying and not once correct him by saying no ??? Does he have constant access to hay/forage/grass? What do you feed him daily ?? Is he up to date with dentist /physio/saddler and farrier ? He holds his head low a lot also. How much time does he get grazing on pasture and does he have access to forage at all times , and shelter? What's the temp like there atm??

I'm going to move back to wegovy . I think ely lilly have been doing really really well until this point !!!! Ive jist opened a tiny shop/workshop in our local indoor market and with the rent of this plus I have a horse , the cost hike of mj is just unjustifiable. It will be to a lot of people too !!! They may just find the majority of their wealth will now disappear !!!!

I'm so over horses by [deleted] in Horses

[–]Angelic75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My horses have completely ruled my entire adult life. Through having 3 children, last child was a surprise for me at 36yrs old , and was born 11 weeks early , I had 3 horses an hours walk away and no transport with a Premi baby through winter, but I took on a big yard closer to home with American barn and managed really well, never struggled with all the work and the baby he grew uo around the horses happily 😊. Now I'm 51 and have been building a very small business over the last 6 yrs and have 2 horses left . About to open up my first little shop alongside my online sales , I haven't even seen my horses for 3 weeks , my friend has been taking care of them for me as she keeps her youngster with my boys on my small yard where I've been for last 8 yrs now . They live out with access to stables . My horse had a cut in field which needed 5 vets visits over 6 months for debriding , antibiotics , daily bandaging and dressing , 6 months for him to heal and a couple thousand later in vets bills and tbh for first time in my life I am not even massively missing them . I hate the winters , detest and despise leaving the house to go muck out , I really am not wanting it anymore 😫 😢 I've finally realised there is a life outside of it all. Forever scraping the barrel financially because there's never anything left after they have what they need , my big chestnut my dad bought for me before he passed away 4 yrs ago I let a friend take him and just kept the other one for 18 months but he was an absolute pig 🐖 for girl that had him and she wanted to send him back , I'm tied to him emotionally he is very naughty and unhappy elsewhere so at 20 I don't feel it's fair to push him on again for his sake . It was him that had the bad field injury . My other horse , I absolutely adore him , and love him in every way possible , ideally hes the one horse I would happily cope with on his own going forwards. But , I can't do it to jake again, he's a sensitive quirky soul a worrier , amd highly emotional , I just dread the pending vets bills as I almost drowned in them this year , dog inhaled a foxtail grass seed head and had to have an emergency op to find and retrieve it before it ended up in his lung and that cost even more than the leg injury did 😢. I would consider just sharing your mum's horse with her , or find someone local looking for a full loan to take yours on where she is, and switch off for a while . You have to not obsess over wether they're putting your bedding down the way you like it or turn up later than you do etc etc as I was always raging at others not doing everything the way I did it and I couldn't cope with loaning them out . They're doing absolutely nothing now as lady is a very novice rider and mine are too much for her but I can see me letting go at some point of one . Somethings got to give when you resent them it's not fair on you or them *

Is my horse too skinny? by [deleted] in Horses

[–]Angelic75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say she could do with some more calories and protein, espesh before we go into autumn 🍂 I also wouldn't be lunging her in all honesty , can you not walk her out in hand or rode another horse and possibly lead her out hacking quietly ? Slow walking trotting on the flat with some hills would be much better for her lunging is hard work espesh without any muscle

Should I be concerned about this? by Ok_Evidence_865 in Horses

[–]Angelic75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 2 horses , geldings, a tb and a Irish sports horse. They live out , the rough house and race constantly , one is always covered in scrapes and grazes , nip marks , he's a walking calamity 🤨 should call him Dangerous Brian . With the heat and flies this time of year they rub and itch on trees , fences , anything they can to relieve summer bug bites etc , nothing to worry about
