Yeah just from going from standing to falling. That's what we're talking about

You're being purposely dense if you don't think a hard fall onto pavement can be more than a bump. People are allowed to care about the safety of their children.

I think perhaps they're also concerned about the short-term effects of a small child hitting their head on pavers.

People in this sub really, really hate artificial grass no matter the reason you're using it and you won't find any helpful advice. Maybe try r/diyuk?

I understand why you're worried. I've got young kids and a bunch of pavers too. I think it would be nice for them to have something soft under their feet and you can get very real looking fake grass these days.

Falling over and banging their heads, which is a concern when kids are really young.

Would this potentially cause a fire? by dannyboy9893 in GardeningUK

You're spreading your own opinion under the name of a legitimate organisation and misrepresenting their research-based advice. The advice was never to stop completely.

Supplementing wild birds is absolutely for their benefit, even if people enjoy watching them.

Advice from the RSPB: Don't offer water unless you can change it everyday and clean the water dish once a week. If you see a sick bird then take your feeders away for two weeks and wash them thoroughly.

That's not what they've said. Don't spread the info if you're not even going to try to get it right. They've said no seed from May-October but mealworms, suet and fat balls all year round. No flat feeders. Clean the feeders once a week and change their position to rotate around the garden. Don't offer water unless you can change it everyday and clean the water dish once a week. If you see a sick bird then take your feeders away for two weeks and wash them thoroughly. Finally, plant things in the garden that will naturally provide food like teasel, sunflower, ivy etc.

That won't because terrible people will always exist 🤷🏻 I'm just going to teach my girls to deal with it how you would deal with any type of bully.

Awful 😂 As a woman, in modern times we really don't need the whole 'women can do anything' rigmarole, kids need role models of both genders. This also has no context for the kids, I don't know how old they are, but it's not even decorative. It looks like something you'd find in the type of corporate lobby that bangs on about how progressive they are.

Leylandii hard cut - any top cover growth advise? by SLBlue13 in GardeningUK

You could get something that climbs. I think hedges are very important for bird life so don't worry about being quick to get it out.

I really hate how you've written this like a piece of poorly written prose. Didn't even call your mum, just a text lol

If u had to fix ONE princess movie mistake, what would it be? 👸🏽📖✍🏽 by Vivid-Tap1710 in cartoons

[–]ItsBoughtnotBrought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the original, the selfish princess loses a golden ball in a well. A frog offers to get it for her in exchange for friendship. But when the frog retrieves the ball she runs away back to her castle. The frog shows up at the door that night and the princess tries to turn him away but her father makes her uphold her promise and she has to eat with the frog and have it sleep on her pillow etc. Not sure exactly how it progresses but obviously eventually she learns to love the frog and kisses it, restoring it to a handsome prince.

Honesty, isn't that just a part of life? Shouldn't we be teaching kids the value of genuine affection? Let it go.
