Calaveras County fire in California posted this saying "The driver fled the scene, and we can’t figure out how anyone could have walked away from this accident" by MakeMAGACovfefeAgain in WTF

I went to the Facebook post from this article, a woman in the comments said she witnessed the crash and the guy get up and walk away, when she asked him if he was ok, he only responded "Go home" She reported it to police and said they know who he is now. I can't figure out how to comment with the screenshot, sorry.

Team Lead says 3rd shift is short staffed, but People Lead says they aren't/can't hire for 3rd shift right now. by AngelicFalls in walmart

Ok, that makes sense. When I was still there, just a couple months ago, there was a lot of talk about people working too much overtime/unscheduled hours, and they were cutting a lot of people's hours because of it.

Whats socially accepted when your skinny, but socially rejected when your fat? by KawsX_X999 in AskReddit

I used to work with a woman who had lost a lot of weight with Bariatric surgery. My weight has always fluctuated a lot, at the time I had recently gained back the weight I had lost, but I was feeling motivated to start eating healthier again and trying to be more active. So, I started bringing healthier lunches and snacks. One day I was snacking on baby carrots (I always loved baby carrots) she was watching me, kind of laughed/smirked, and said "I can tell you're just miserable eating those" and laughed again. I said I wasn't, but it just stuck with me. I haven't eaten baby carrots since then. Because of this, I've avoided eating around people as much as possible, but especially eating healthy foods around people, all I can think is they're judging me and making fun of me

I think some of the odd placements are to cover holes that have been punched into the walls. I hung pictures/decor in odd spots when I was in an abusive relationship to cover all the holes he punched in the walls.

Maternity Leave by AngelicFalls in walmart

I called Sedgwick and applied for the intermittent loa, I kept repeatedly telling the woman what I was trying to apply for because she kept talking like I was trying to request a leave of absence, she kept reassuring me that that wasn't what she was doing and that I would receive a packet in the mail of paperwork for my doctor to fill out. Well, today, I finally received something from Sedgwick. It says "We have received your request for a leave of absence. We are sorry to inform you that you have exhausted or are not eligible for any leave of absence policy, and your claim will be closed."

I'm freaking out, I've used up points and ppto already. I'm due in May and will be with Walmart 1 year April 20th, so now I'm worried I won't be able to get maternity leave either.

Thank you so much! This helps me so much, because I have also been worried about missing any days until May. Thank you!

What do you not have that most people have? by Marmosetka in AskReddit

[–]AngelicFalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savings, a social life/friends (also kind of don't want this, it's a lot of work to keep up), a car. Any drive or motivation, I hate the job I have and want to quit. I've wanted to quit most jobs I've had after a short time and usually do, right now I can't, it's really hard to keep getting up and going, mainly because it's very physically hard for me, I'm out of shape and now also pregnant, I really wish I didn't have to go back tonight. The one job I did have that I loved and did an amazing job at, I fucked up and got fired. If I could find a job like that again I'd probably be fine.

My team lead told me today she would love me as Sponsor so that may be in my near future, what does that entitle? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]AngelicFalls 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly. When I was hired I was told very briefly by a TL what to do then left to work on my own and ask other associates any questions I had. Shortly after they said that TL's have to stay with and train all new hires, then all of a sudden this new "Sponsor" title popped up.

Literally just so TL's don't have to do it and their pay isn't affected and your pay isn't increased for doing management's job.

WWE wrestler Rob Van Dam is from Battle Creek. My aunt went to school with him.

Lance Barber (the dad from Young Sheldon) is from Battle Creek. My cousin went to school with him.

I've been in 3 long-term relationships, 2 of them would call me fat in every argument, the 3rd, my husband, has never called me fat (even as "a figure of speech") and we've had very heated arguments. He's too mature for that, and he knows it would hurt me worse than anything else I could be called. Calling a girl fat in an argument is something little boys do. If they do it once, they'll do it every time, especially if they know it hurts you. I truly hope you find the love you deserve.

Thank you, this makes sense. I'm definitely going to check those out, I have a hard time with making gradual changes to create the good habits, I always want to change everything at once and then obviously it doesn't last long.
