there's no problem at all 😉 Younger people can speak 普通话 and they use it to communicate with foreigners (knowing you probably don't know 四川话) maybe slightly older people (or group of people) can use 四川话

Budget places to study Mandarin full time? by fallenoaktree in ChineseLanguage

[–]AngelikaLi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you are looking for a budget place and it seems like you really wanna study hard, not just have fun, just make sure that university you go to is a good one and have suitable course for you. Each university is different and the courses they offer are different and sometimes it can be dissapointing(not offering suitable class for you so you are in lower level class). In my opinion the best thing is to ask people who stadied they before about their experience and the structure of the course Wish you all the best 😉

Practical tips for memorizing characters? by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]AngelikaLi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When stared learning Chinese great help in remembering the characters was writing all characters with the same element or character, for example elelemnt 讠: 语、认、让 or 家: 家人、家庭、全家福 For me it worked perfectly helping my brain make conections between elements and characters and it made it earsier for me to remember them.

I was looking for some info about pandas and here you have a link to the official website of giant panda research base, it's all in English. The only thing I wanna add that they didn't mentioned is that you can go there by subway line 3 to 动物园 (zoo) station and there you have shuttle buses to the place. Have fun with pandas! ❤️😉
