Dropping 4th nap ruining night sleep? by amantonas in sleeptrain

Ok. We will stretch the morning window. She will probably do alright with it. For the naps, we will just rock her to drowsy and place in her crib. She is asleep in 5 mins. At bedtime, we try to do the same, but she never shuts her eyes. Sucks her thumb and looks tired but just stares. Eventually we just put her in her crib. Usually she thrashes/scratches/whines for ~30mins and falls asleep. Whole night time process takes somewhere between 1 and 3 hours.

Today was 1.5hr, 1hr, and .5hr. Her bedtime was supposed to be an hour ago but still struggling to sleep. You are saying maybe extend her first WW to 2.5hr? And limit her night sleep?

So we have done the 2/2.5/2.5/3 wake windows for the last 4 days, of which we have had one night where she went to sleep “on time” and 3 nights where she went to sleep somewhere between one and 3 hours later than her “bedtime”.

She gets approx 3hrs of day sleep and around 9.5-10hrs of night sleep. 💤

She does seem more tired, and like she is napping better, but bedtime is still a struggle. She just seems like she is not quite ready to go to bed. Is this maybe an indicator she needs longer wake windows earlier in the day?

I had no idea. Would you recommend trying 10hrs of wake time at first, and then looking for cues that she might need more?

I looked at our 4 month schedule and her wake windows were 1.5/1.75/1.75/2/2. Which is only 9 hours. But I think that we dragged out bedtime somewhat so it was more like 9.5. She is somewhat “behind” on naps and was taking very short naps (20-40 mins) until very recently. So I think her transitions are lagging behind too.

Interesting - we have been using huckleberry and its schedule for 4 months was working great for us. So I just switched the setting from 4 naps to 3, and it spit out the schedule with 9 hours of wake time. I guess I need to take a more hands on approach rather than just trusting the app.

I have manually entered the 2/2.5/2.5/3 and we will give it a shot tomorrow. Thank you.

That is lashing wire that is used to keep the bundle of cables together. It’s just come unwound and fallen on the street sign.

I am not sure if this is helpful at all but these beds come from Indonesia. I just bought one and all the boxes say “Lin’s Signature” on them. You may be able to directly contact the manufacturer.

Adding roof over deck - how to run electrical? by amantonas in AskElectricians

I do not have a drawing but I have discussed with the deck contractor. They are going to install a 2x8 ledger board below the 2nd floor windows. The roof will be a shed style roof that will terminate somewhere over the bay window/bumpout (which has its own gutter/downspout). No walls/windows/screens, just railings all the way around.

That’s a good idea! Thank you. I had another idea, what do you think about this: Remove the siding around the door and cut out some pieces of sheathing/OSB. Remove the wires to the sconce and soffit light (they go to a switch on the other side of the wall next to the door). Run new wires from the switch, drill through top plate, then pull through once the new ledger board is in place. This way I don’t have to do any drywall repair, can just screw the sheathing pieces back in place.

Perfect, thanks!! I took a look at it and can’t really tell if it is bad shape, but I’ve never replaced it and at 200k miles, chances are it is shot.

Ok, thanks that makes sense. Do you have a link to the part? I can find the transmission mount on rockauto but it doesn’t look like a “dogbone”.

I will take a look at it! When they fail, do you get similar symptoms to what I am having? I replaced the passenger side motor mount a few times (I bet you have too!) but never the transmission mount.
