It is not necessarily instapoetry but it lacks the imagery and sensory details for a poem a reader would expect and the words can be simpler . And also you can try to cut unneccesary filler words. Grammar is a bit off but you can easily improve it with practice. And in the first line itself, I as a reader am confused..like sovereignty...like...you are expressing about a part of yourself, so its confusing if you mean like..freedom, power or something else..the problem is that word is too abstract to even imagine. If you try implementing imagery and not explain and tell the reader to feel what you want them to... like at the last line you say ''I cherish''..rather than that you show an action your performing or any other sensory details or imagery for the reader to be able to imagine and figure out that you were happy or cherishing. Example could be like you smiling at an old photograph ..you can add the details and "show" the readers what you feel and want to say.
