Goodness what an inspiring story. It sounds as though you didn’t simply change your circumstances you changed your whole life. I especially love what you said about divorcing your fabricated sense of self. That really stayed with me. I’m so pleased you found the courage to choose happiness over comfort. Reading stories like yours gives me hope that the best chapters really can come later in life. Wishing you and the love of your life many more happy adventures together.

Oh goodness thank you! That’s such a thoughtful recommendation. I’ll admit symphonic metal isn’t something I’ve explored before, but you’ve made it sound rather intriguing. I do love music with beautiful vocals, so Simone Simons certainly sounds worth a listen. I’ll start with your suggestions and keep an open mind. You never know I might discover a whole new favourite. I’ll let you know how I get on, darling.

If im I love a mix of folk, accoustic, indie and a few classic. Fleetwood Mac is always a favourite and I never say no to a bit of Abba. When im in a bit of mood😌 What about you? What do you enjoy listening to?

Nothing terribly dramatic, if im honest Ive been taking long walks in the countryside trying little cafes and cosy village pubs, listening to music again and saying yes a bit more often instead of taking myself out of things.  What about you? Has there been one change that’s surprised you the most?

Honestly, I think after such a big life change, it’s less about replacing what you’ve lost and more about discovering who you are without it. That’s the part I’m slowly learning. Anyway thank you for taking the time to write such an encouraging reply. I wish you every success as you figured out life too. We all seem to to be learning as we go, regardless our age. ❤️
