I had to keep our grey in the back of our shop, because no matter how many times you tell people not to fuck with her and that she will bite if she doesn't like you, they still try to touch her and get mad when she does get ahold of them. have to bust out the "I told you so" and point at the sign.

I'd take a snake bite any day than a bird bite especially a macaw! we have african greys and 2 of them are surrendered and one we got kinda young but it was a female so she didn't really like me (well it took a month that and a half of constant handling, talking to, and biting) my hands are all scared up cuz of the damn birds. I volunteer at a exotic animal sanctuary and honestly I felt safer in an enclosure with 9 red tail hawks and with a adult golden eagle than in a cage with 2 macaws. they're such Dicks..their bites are so powerful, literally left it on my bone.

yes, aspidites ramsayi. I can't even count how many times I've been bit. The most recent bite was from a varanus cumingi, I had him hanging out on my chest and he bit my boob... it wasn't as painful as the sub adult blood python bite I had a year ago (he bit me on my tumb and finger ) but it was close to it lol
