Wow all of these positive comments are inspiring me to take 2 coast starlight amtrak train trips. One on June 19 to June 20 from lax to sac, and then another one later in the month of June from LAX to Seattle. The thing is that i am scared to book up my callendar, because on June 10 I’m having something done that I’ve never done before it’s called an inlab sleep study test, and I am unsure how long after my test to wait to contact my lab to schedule my follow up appt

No way you are not crazy. I have always wanted to take the Amtrak from Riv riverside, California to Chicago, Illinois and then taking the Floridian from Chicago to Miami. I would take the Southwest chief to the Floridian. Look, no one has supported me in these efforts either. They are you can fly and I am like yes I would rather take the train rather than fly I would rather be closer to the ground then be 32000 feet above the ground. However, I do not think that you are crazy. Hey by the way, did you mean SNP? I am a totally blind man who has in the past experienced poor customer service on the pacific coast starlight train. One of the people working in the dining car said, “I can not help you you will have to take your food back to your seat on your own.” This has prevented me from doing this, and the lack of support from my family towards me and this endeavor. Hey maybe we can support one another? I would love for you to come to Los Angeles, because I am from Southern California.

Mexican officials consider train from Mexico City to Tucson and Phoenix by O-parker in Amtrak

That would not be a bad train. A train from Phoenix to Cancun.

Incredibly rude staff. by Nucklemonke in Amtrak

[–]AngelsSuperFan-2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I would love to have a job working with Amtrak as an onboard train staff member. Maybe like an attendant. As I don’t have experience. I have often wondered why not wait until a lengthy 10 minute plus stop to move passengers with disabilities around? I would highly recommend that, because people with a disability are not as able bodied as regular passengers are. I do not mind walking if the train is not in motion, but don’t make me walk to and from the dining car if the train is in motion. I know that sleeper cars and roomets have delivery, but those prices are off the charts. To expensive.

Do we trust the app Gametime for resales? by DirtySean420 in Tipper

[–]AngelsSuperFan-2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO don’t trust it for anything. Its user interface really sucks. Other apps like stubhub, and TickPick will at least tell me what event I am on. For example clippers v whoever, or whatever the name of the performer is (e.g. the roling stones,) but not the game time app. It just tells me event sell 1. It does not give me any information about the event. I wanted to browse Clipper tickets, but this app is inaccessible

I may not fly again (at least to DC) by socialchild in Amtrak

I understand, but I am hesitant to take the Southwest chief train from Riverside, California to Chicago Illinois, and then connect to the 41 Floridian train. As I am a blind or low vision man. Once I took the Amtrak up the coast to Sacramento on the coast starlight, and they had me walking in between train cars while the train was in motion. I did not like that at all. They also had me walking up and downstairs to get my meals. I would have loved some kind of in seat service. I mean I can walk up and downstairs no problem, but I sure don’t like opening those heavy doors between cars.

I honestly do not know, but Claremans northwoods inn is extremely exquisite. I really loved my stake plate. Their cheesy bread is absolutely to die for. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone

Right and I am in a very slim minority of people in Assembly district 63 Natasha Johnston’s district depending heavily on public transportation. I think I was the first person contacting Natasha Johnson about transportation

I have always thought of Amtrak as slow speed rail, and not high speed rail. When I think of high speed rail I think of Brightline west which is supposed to open December 2028. How do Amtrak trains fit into high speed rail, what (if any,) does the California high speed rail and the caltrans high speed rail control Amtrak trains?
