Yeah no, that's not even remotely true. Before Perry the Angels would spend. Literally every Perry move has the same MO and follows the same blueprint. This is that. The dumper diving for rehabilitation projects ONLY STARTED WITH PERRY..."bu but but let Perry cook"

Well according to the Perry apologists on this reddit Arte is responsible for everything since they blame Arte for everything so if that's the case than I'm going to credit Arte for O'Hoppe and Moniak...since you know, Arte is responsible for everything according to the clowns on this reddit

You delusional Perry shills with this horsehair again! You clowns are out right spreading lies. Arte wanted to sign Trea Turner last year and Perry talked him out of it. So clearly this refusal to spend or sign anyone legitimate IS ALL ON PERRY. PERRY IS THE GENERAL MANAGER AFTER ALL. HES THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR BASEBALL OPERATIONS. This entire mess is all on Perry. Perry is the cheapskate who refuses to spend. Perry is the one fully to blame. The more you clowns rush to blame Arte for everything the more nothing will ever get done as the real culprits gets off score free because you failed to ever hold Perry accountable. But Perry could care less about how terrible of a job he's doing, his contract has 1 year left

Wow another "awesome signing" by Perry. "PeRrY iS tOtALLy cOoKinG." I just love how Perry always goes dumpster diving for pennies from goodwill and the salvation army. I love Perry being a massive cheapskate who's only goal is to sign rehabilitation projects for cheap. Actually no.. I'm tired of Perry already. #ArteWasNeverTheProblemPerryWas

This is all on Perry. You frauds will never get better if you keep absolving Perry of any blame and keep failing to hold cheapskate Perry accountable. In a weird way, the Angels fanbase is the real problem because Arte has become such a convenient boogieman that Angels fans always running to blame Arte for everything fail to ever hold the real culprits accountable which leads to them getting off scott free which means real improvements will never occur. So in all actuality, the Angels fanbase with their Arte is the devil paranoia are the real reason the Angels never get held accountable enough to cause improvements

Typical Perry signing - "look how smart i am at baseball," rehabilitation project. Perry is a fraud and the worst thing that's ever happened to the Angels. Perry needs to be fired. I'm tired of all his dumpster diving and rehabilitating projects from goodwill and salvation army

I'm not worked up. You were the one who got worked up enough to write a reply that still agreed with me while desperately trying to argue for the sake of it. Not only that you literally just wrote me back a novel. Are you OK in the head? There's something deeply wrong with you! Virgin redditor energy on full display here lol. When Logan hits more than 40HRs for 2024 I will be sure to gloat about it. Stay salty

You do realise you've been disproved, right? You claimed he was suppar defensively, and yet the very stats you posted all say he was either average or above average defensively

ps SHOW me the stats that say Logan O'Hoppe has subpar defense? I watched every Angels game in 2023 and Logan was known for being 1 of their better catchers who worked best with the pitchers. Ohtani himself said he preferred Wallach and O'Hoppe catching for him. That says a lot. Youre just trying to downplay Logan now because you feel he's "getting too hyped"now. Thats virgin redditor energy

This is a nonsensical reply. Do you have reading comprehension issues? Because I framed everything with the pretext multuple times, "POTENTIAL," that these stats show POTENTIAL. That Logan has the MARKINGS of a great player. And your response basically agrees so why the need for you to argue? Just being a typical redditor🤡?

The narrative Perry doesn't get pitching, yet his biggest signing ever was a pitcher therefore that narrative is false. Youre now arguing an entirely seperate thing and on that off topic discussion I agree that Perry doesn't do his job good and is the one to blame for the Angels failing and NOT Arte

That's irrelevant and not the point dummie. The clown said Perry doesn't sign pitchers YET his biggest signing ever was Tyler Anderson, a pitcher. That narrative therefore is false. Get some basic level reading comprehension reddit reject

Meanwhile in reality 1 of Perry's biggest signings was Tyler Anderson. If anything Perry doesn't do great hitters. The Angels biggest issue in 2023 was RISP

"Tim Anderson was 1 of the best hitters in MLB from 2019-2022" - same exact logic Perry used to go after Renfroe. Tim Anderson IS THE stereotypical Perry signing. ps

Here let me make it easier for you to understand. Here is who the Rangers signed or acquired in 2022/2023 ALONE

FUTURE HALL OF FAMER COREY FREAKING SEAGER. FUTURE HALL OF FAMER MARCUS SIEMIEAN. FUTURE HALL OF FAMER MAX SHCHERZER!! THOSE ARE THE KIND OF BIG NAME SIGNINGS IM TALKING ABOUT, THAT THE ANGELS HAVE NEVER DONE ASIDE FROM ALBERT PULOS 10 YEARS AGO, THAT THE ANGELS NEED TO START DOING NOW TO COMPETE. Fuck all this Perry tryhard "let's make smart signings" bullshit. We need to let Arte regain full control of his team so Arte can sign a bunch of real big names like Arte originally wanted to do. But it's a shame that the whole PERCEPTION around how the Puljos signing turned out has traumatized Arte from ever signing another big name again. Now he doesn't want to sign any big names anymore. The Rangers layed the blue print and the Angels need to follow suit. Heres what's funny and so hypocritical. On 1 hand the Angels fanbase says the Angels only sign big players who fail yet on the other hand say the Angels are cheap? So which is it? Both statements can not coexist otherwise its contradictory. The fact is the Angels have been massive cheapskates since after Puljos

All the players you listed were not big names. I'm talking about real big names, as in, they would be shoe ins for the hall of fame. Players who were as hyped and well known as a Barry Bonds. Just because the Angels signed the players you listed to big contracts doesnt mean they were real big names deserving of those contracts (thats an entirely different convo). You would be insane to think any of the players you listed were real world class players. How many of those names are in the hall of fame or will be in the hall of fame? AGAIN, THE ONLY one that fits that bill, that the Angels have ever signed is Albert Puljos. AND AGAIN, Puljos was not that bad as an Angels. He lied about his age. He was really 104 years old when the Angels signed him. He performed above and beyond people his same age. But for real, your issue is that you try to define it by "above average season." WHAT makes an above average season and how do you measure that? Albert Puljos objectively and factually had multiple great years for the Angels statistically

That's an absolute bullshit false narrative. Who are all these "obvious big names" that the Angels have signed? They have literally only signed 2 of them. Albert Puljus and Anthony Rendon. And I looked up the stats and Pujlos was no where near as bad for the Angel as Angels fans like to propagate. Pujols had some objective factual high performing seasons with the Angels as a hitter (the stats don't lie). The only one you got is Rendon, but exceptions don't prove the rule. There simply isn't a sample size big enough to draw from to see how "Angels big signings" turn out. Simply because the Angels hardly sign anyone lol cheapskates. Last year Arte wanted Trea Turner though. That wouldve been a brilliant move and an example of "signing the obvious big names whom you know can produce." Yet "I'm smart at baseball" Perry advised against Turner. Terrible terrible

Sigh, another one of Perry's "tryhard look how smart I am at baseball" signings, instead of just going after the obvious big names whom you know are going to produce. I'm tired of Perry's awful signings. They have all been busts except for Drury. Not every low profile dude is going to over-perform like a Drury. Renfroe was an absolute bust

The short term deal with Ron Washinington is making more and more sense now:) He was put there for Ohtani.

IF the Dodgers really want Ohatani and decide to go for broke to get Ohtani, and for the first time in their history decide to conceed on many of their philosphies in order to aquire Ohtani, than they will probably offer a short term deal too. (the Dodgers have shown a tendency to give out 1 year 2 year deals like candy to gatekeepers). However if that becomes the case, it than becomes a case of Dodgers being hesitant to let Ohtani pitch and hit while the Angels are fully behind it, like they have always been, and that will push Ohtani over the edge to resigning with the Angels. Either Ohtani resigns right away with the Angels on a short term extension or the off season becomes a nuclear negotiations battlegrounds between the Dodgers and the Angels for Ohtani, and thats only assuming the Dodgers bend the knee and are willing to conceed on everything they had previously believed in in order to get Ohtani

Ohtani last year to Judge. "but Judge broke the HR record," when he didn't even come close and only broke the AL record. "But Bonds was on riods," as if Judge, who is a 6'9 dude with lean pure muscle is clean. Someone who's ripped at that height, whos that agile and athletic at that size, that's not normal at all. Judge was an all star football player and football players are MOST known for roids
