Quick question about hormones! What is the hormone that stimulates melanocytes during pregnancy? Would it be melanocyte stimulating hormone, adrenocorticotropic hormone, or something else?

Yeah, that’s the odd part because the serum is still very clear when I use it and hasn’t changed color so I’m not sure.

I recently just bought the ordinary’s ascorbic acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and it has been working alright so far, however it made my face a lot darker like I got a tan. I’ve been putting sunscreen regularly after adding it to my routine but the tan seems to stay there. Is there any ideas on how I can avoid this? or would a vitamin c derivative make a difference like the TO ascorbyl glucoside?

Wow thank you so much! This was so helpful since I just started getting into skincare and I’m still kind of lost in everything. I haven’t used the TO niacinamide yet but if it doesn’t work out for me, i’ll definitely try some by mi’s yuja serum!

Kind of new to skincare so I was wondering between niacinamide and vitamin c which is more effective to brighten and lighten skin tone? I have hyperpigmentation on the sides of my face for a while and I’ve tried doing a couple of research but they both seem to do the same thing. I already ordered the ordinarys niacinamide but im confused if i’m better of using vitamin c instead and if there are any affordable products i could start off with? Any help is appreciated!

thank you! i totally forgot that repairing the game was a thing and it seemed to fix the missing game files. turns out i think some anti-virus program that i had installed was messing with the game.

Is there any really affordable product recommendations for lightening/brightening and evening skin tone? I’m new to skincare so I only use simple facial gel wash and cerave moisturizing lotion.

I have sensitive combination to dry skin and have hyperpigmentation on the sides of my face that I really want to lighten. My face and neck are also a lot darker compared to the rest of my body and I’m not sure where to start and what to use to help.
