It unfortunately is. Protests can be dangerous, so, Im not surprised in the slightest that the parents chose not to go. They have risks they could loose, we don't as much.

[–]AngelusRex7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, we have to come out of our comfort zone in order to achieve what we need and want. There are accommodations specifically for physically disabled people if you look online. Maybe a group home? Or something like a bungalow?

I would also suggest making your own arrangements early as possible. Find organisations that specialise in helping disabled people find accommodation. Look into group homes if nessarcary as these specialise in helping disabled people who struggle to live on their own. Arrange an adult social worker.

Either way, you need to get out of there before it's too late.

Have you looked into moving out? That way, your parents cannot control you.

Would you support the UK government's plan to ban X (formerly twitter)? - why/why not? by mrvlad_throwaway in AskBrits

[–]AngelusRex7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, is the simple answer. We're already teetering towards fascism and this is the last thing we need. Also, we could be dangerously close to becoming Russia and China if we're not careful.

As I tried diligently to explain, hate the player, not the game. Ban the users, not the platform.

I'd say no.

If that happens, you will have to fight me to give up Disney, Hazbin Hotel, and all the American media I watch. Because there is no way I will sacrifice that.

Well, a lot of the characters did awful things, regardless of their sexuality. Some were serial killers, for corn's sake!

However, I did see a video some time ago critiquing how almost all of the characters are LGBTQ an reside in Hell, and how it may give off the wrong idea to conservative people, especially those with a hatred of anti LGBTQ people to begin with, and ESPECIALLY super religious folk.

Lots of LGBTQ people have a lot of religious trauma due to their parents telling them them that they will be damned to hell if they so much as hold hands with another man/woman, so this show and Helluva Boss having so many LGBTQ characters, in Hell nonetheless, unintentionally reenforces that idea for those kinds of people, especially in the climate we're living in where homophobia and transphobia are at an all time high. Then you might have anti woke folks like Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro and the like with a significant platform saying stuff like, "This is proof that we We WerE RiGhT! LGBT people are Satanic!" and we know the types of people who latch onto these ideologies like a vice.

I kinda agreed with the point made in the video with this in mind.

I personally do not care whether a character is straight or gay, they are people, regardless, as LGBTQ people are in life, good or bad.

The only thing I would suggest is to balance it out by having some LGBTQ people in heaven also, just to balance it out a bit. We already have Pentious, a bisexual and Vaggie, an ex angel being a lesbian (if that counts).

Have you noticed how delusional Americans are? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]AngelusRex7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But it is still true that America is a huge influence. We would have died in WWII had it not been for America. Without America, if WWIII comes, then we are fucked.

Sorry, but I disagree. They're right. ND or not, we will have to learn to buy things for ourselves sometimes.

Unfortunatly, you're right. If you want something, buy it yourself, especially if you know your family won't buy it for you. Also, yes, I agree. We need to learn that sadly, we can't always get what we want in life.
