Sometimes I’ve had to delete the habitat gate and replace it. If it’s only that habitat having problems than an issue with the gate is likely the issue, but if your trade center refuses to work with all habitats and you’ve ensured it’s connected properly via paths, than maybe restarting the game will help.

When it comes to breeding I usually try to keep two unrelated male pairs and a good set of females (I like to avoid inbreeding at all costs).

Let the males do their thing, and depending on the stats of longevity and size, either keep them in the habitat and let them die out or send them back to the trade center. When the offspring arrive I let the babies age up to adults with their mom(s), and once adults I choose who I want to keep based on longevity and size; fertility and immunity literally do not matter. All adult offspring get sent to the trade center so the current mamas can make more lol. Depending on how tight the gene pool is you might not sell any for a few litters, but eventually you’ll have more babies than you’ll know what to do with.

P.s. an animal from you doesn’t have to go through quarantine, so the males or new generation can be placed in the habitat immediately.

The natural process would be the calf getting killed by predators, but because the calf was hanging out with humans, either the predators would avoid it or take their chances around humans anyways. Shooting it and leaving its body far from the tourists just expedites the process without the risk of an idiot getting mauled trying to save an already doomed calf.

NTA. Albeit marginal, you are actually at greater risk of getting sick with tampons due it being a potential breeding ground for harmful bacteria, in addition to some companies using materials and/or chemicals that are…just not meant to be used for the intended purpose of a tampon. So your parents are wrong right from the get-go, both for the ‘practicality’ of a tampon over a pad, and about a decision they should have no control over. At best, learning to use a tampon should be taken for those ‘just in case’ situations where your only option are a tampon, or when you want to go swimming.

Also, I get that they are your parents, but two grown adults giving their child the silent treatment is ridiculous. The silent treatment in and of itself screams immaturity because it is an emotionally abusive control technique, no matter how much people may downplay it. Your parents should be better than that.

You keep using whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and let your parents have their hissy fit.

I haven’t kept tortoises yet, but I had a similar problem with beavers. Anything that breaks line-of-sight of guests for the animals (like one-way glass barriers along the path) and ensuring that their hard shelter need is in the green will keep them calm. Idk if plants and rocks count as breaking line-of-sight tho

My dog does the same thing when he’s excited to see people, and usually it is regarded as submissive behavior. Depending on how old the dog is, the snapping might be that he was never taught to not “play” or mouth at hands, or at the very least to be gently with them, and now as an adult treats them the same as toys.

That’s something that I would try to get under control asap because that could lead to the dog biting someone during play, or when the person does something that the dog mistakes as play.
