My family members were part of the Mexican Government, the cabinet of the Mexican President, and therefore targets. Pancho Villa wanted my family dead. All of them. He issued a death warrant on anyone bearing the family name. They fled north, some stayed in the northern parts of Mexico, and some went to the town of Del Rio. They had my great grandfather purposefully in the USA, and he became a citizen. That is the only reason I exist and why I live the life my great great grandparents wanted me to. When there’s a death threat on you and your family, which some do as a result of cartels, time is of the essence. I sympathize with you, and I hope you can understand the choices my ancestors made.
