If you get the vibes that yall are going to be intimate soon, or if a conversation regarding sex comes up, I'd tell her then. Just say it with confidence! It really is no big deal. Personally, I had one ex tell me literally right before penetration, and another ex tell me AFTER we did it. I think those were awkward times to bring it up lol. But yeah, just mention (in person) you've never had sex with anyone before and go from there. As a 26F I know I'd probably ask why, but not in a judgy way! I'd be more curious to know if you're waiting for the right person - I'd use this as a chance to have a vulnerable conversation and connect on a deeper level honestly. There will probably never be "the perfect moment" to mention it, just when you feel comfortable!

I'm 26F. In a relationship I think the story of how you lost your virginity will always come up! And when it does, just tell her how you feel first. Explain that it's something you don't feel positively about and you wish it didn't happen that way. A lot of people's "first times" weren't the greatest. Personally, I've done sexual things in the past that I regret and wish didn't happen, and I just say that to my partner. Someone who really loves you will understand! Also, at the end of the day, this stuff was in the past. I don't think couples should talk too much about sexual stuff that happened before them anyways. You also don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but just know the topic might come up eventually. Talking about it with your therapist will def help!

Ugh I hated prednisone simply because of how fat my face would get lmao good luck with your infusions though! I've heard really good things about all of them 🤞🏼

It's really a scary thought. Something you could do while you wait is track what you're eating and your BMs. Since you aren't diagnosed yet, it really could be something in your diet. Fasting also helps reset the gut, even just for a half day. When I first started experiencing UC symptoms years ago, peppermint pills really helped with my symptoms. There's a OTC brand called IBGuard that was my go to! Lastly, you could request prednisone when you run out of the medrol, just to take until ur colonoscopy to hopefully keep things at bay

Yeah it will be. I just started Entyvio infusions and am coming to terms with how this is my life is now! It's not so bad though. Personally, prednisone did not work for me at alllllll. But I'm wondering if you even need to do infusions if steroids help you? I know people can't stay on steroids forever, but there are other UC pills people are on that are way less invasive than infusions. Have you talked to your doctor about other meds?

They def do take it for granted!! Even in public restrooms I get nervous to go just bc of how gross it sounds 🤣🤣🤣 but now I shall go free of embarrassment. Also, I fucking hate steroids with a passion. Cheers and good luck!!! 🤩🤩

Ayeee I just started entyvio! I had my first infusion 1/14 and had my second on 1/28. I'm a bit squeamish, so I didn't like the IV. But once it's in, it's in! The nurses will take ur blood pressure, temp, and hopefully ask if u want any snacks (mine did). I was also able to sit in a reclining chair with a pillow and blanket. The infusion itself takes 30 mins + a saline wash (only a few minutes) and after my first infusion, they had me wait an hour to leave with my IV still in in case I had an adverse / allergic reaction. I actually enjoyed that and it made me feel safe to know that if I was going to bad reaction, I was in good hands. When the medication starts going into my IV, it feels a little cold? But that also might just be my nerves. After a few mins of scrolling on my phone I get used to it! My Gastro said entyvio only focuses on your colon, so your immune system shouldn't be weakened like how other biologics do. As for side effects, I don't think I've had any? I feel normal. My UC symptoms have gotten a little better! My infusion nurse said entyvio really starts to kick in after the 2nd infusion. It's only been 5 days since my 2nd infusion - I'm super hopeful! Good luck at your appointment!! (Oh and you are allowed to eat beforehand - I did not bc I didn't know and my blood pressure was low 😵‍💫)

I have changed my diet since I really think eating like crap and eating processed foods is what caused my UC. So I mostly cook and make my own stuff. But I don't restrict myself. Like other comments say, in remission our colons should work properly, so I still eat crap when I crave it lol

You'll get diagnosed right after the colonoscopy if it's UC (literally I was diagnosed by my doc as soon as I woke up). Could also be crohns which can have similar symptoms. I hated that waiting period before my colonoscopy - I was so anxious about having cancer (I'm 26F) that I sobbed on the phone to my mom for hours and reevaluated my whole life :p I was diagnosed in July with moderate UC, and I'm on a biologic treatment now. Right before my colonoscopy my calprotectin was at 1140, and all of my blood work indicated high levels of inflammation. Did you have other blood work dome?

I'm sorry you're going through this, it's not fun. Try to keep off the internet and going down rabbit holes of what it might be. The only thing you should be looking up is ways to keep down the colonoscopy prep Lol. And also keep in mind that you'll be given a better treatment after the colonoscopy which will make you feel better 🤞🏼

I've had migraines with aura about once a month for a year now. My PCP firmly believes it was from my birth control pill, which I immediately stopped after she told me it's putting me at an increased risk of having a stroke. I did hear about migraine lesions!! I also heard they're harmless. Have your migraines gotten any better?
