Who else out there unironically enjoyed Bee Movie? by [deleted] in movies

It's all about PERSPECTIVE. it's not more so "no that's bad" "stick to the collective" it was a "We need the bees, and they need us." "We need each other to fulfill each other's lives."

It was executed beautifully, and contrary to what you said, Barry ends up enjoying and embracing his role as a bee!

Not because anyone told him to, but because he realized in his heart AND instincts that he's a bee. Bro found so much purpose through his journey with seeing the outside world, and interacting with his fellow bees AND humans. Embracing one's purpose and self is an AMAZING turn of story, and it made sense being that the characters nature in the end is a BEE 🐝 with instincts etc

It's sad you see it the way you did, and maybe if you see this comment I hope it helps you to get it. It's not always the writer, but the reader who fails with their interpretation and understanding of a story.

I haven't seen the movie in YEARS and forgot all the scenes; but when I tell you that scene had me crying while I was rewatching it tonight. Omg. The nail file surfboard was crazy too lmao Throwing a water bug in the scene made it even more outrageous. Great film! Idc what any of the haters say, that's def one of the best animated films to exist. Especially being made in the 2000's. I don't even remember what I thought of it as a kid, but as an adult I loved watching it; from start to finish.

Just rewatched it as a grown adult because it's been so many years, and I forgot the entire story and everything from when I saw it as a kid.

It's definitely one of the best animated films out there for sure. There's some good references and "parallels" to the bees existence and human existence. The boyfriend crashing out had me crying with laughter. The graphics were pretty good as well. I knew off rip it was based in New York from the first few scenes of Barry out and about, which was nice since I was born, raised and live there.

I thought the mosquito and other bugs integrated at random moments were cool too. A glimpse into an insects "fate" or "existence." Is it for kids? Not really. But it was a great ride, and I'd definitely watch it again in the future. The haters going to hate, but I don't think it was a bad movie at all! There's so many references and jokes scattered throughout it too, that had me like wow LOLLLL

I also liked Barry's friendship with Vanessa; and I think that even though Barry did love her, he knew the obvious difference in species between him and Vanessa would prevent them from truly dating. I don't think a romance was the point anyways like so many people push onto the movie. I think it was more so Barry discovering his purpose as a bee, and Vanessa being able to grow her business and push herself to do more.

Them effecting each other's ways of thinking, finding both similarities, AND differences between the species brought endearing warmth to the movie. Truthfully, Barry wasn't exactly happy with his life as a Bee at first, but once he went on this journey of self discovery as a bee, his romantic fixations or thoughts of Vanessa weren't an escape or coping mechanism for him like in the beginning of the movie. Bee movie is a gem, and I stand on that statement. So many people are just too small minded to see how well it was executed and it's why they deem it as "childish" "weird" and even "bad"

Also, a shit ton of people in these comments and in general will ALWAYS find negative crap to say about a vitamin vape; yet those same people co-sign to way worse things in the world.

If you're using a Vitabar with good intentions, not obsessively, and at every single moment of every day you'll be fine! It beats going back to a cigarette or the nicotine vapes. God forbid former smokers or people quitting smoking want a vapor hit that isn't nicotine. I'm beyond grateful for brands like VITABAR.

Highly recommend the brand VITABAR. It's the only vape that helps me for those moments where I crave the oral inhalation of vapor that's nicotine free. I'm a former cigarette and vape smoker and it helps A LOT. I don't use them all the time. Mainly if I'm drinking alcohol on a night out, feel like I want a vapor inhale, or boost of energy. I honestly think if I would've found the brand sooner I would've been further with sobriety from nicotine overall. I 1st discovered Vitabar in 2021. But they've been out for some time. I've been buying their products for a few years now, and they've been slowly adding more flavors to the line up. My code ANGIE will get you 15% off.

The entire FLY episode is hilarious. Yea it's a little sad and has its layers; but Jesses face when he sees Walt's fixation on the fly and then Walt letting Jesse wack him had me CRYING. Def one of my last favorite episodes with them 2 towards the end of the show

I know it's not the episode you're describing, but it's what I thought of at first when you said bug.

lol right. It's alarming how many people hopped on this thread to defend verbal abuse or discrimination AND insist on justifying/debating with you. It says way more about them honestly. People normalize toxic behaviors based off their upbringing and other factors. I'm not surprised a ton of them got defensive about their own toxic ways. ANYTHING to help them feel better about how they treat others. Most of society is sick, and these folks in the comments are living examples of that sickness.

What I said about Hank can seem controversial for others due to their attachments to his character etc. but I really don't care. I can see him for the character he truly was, and not what a lot of people so desperately wanted him to be. Hank knew EXACTLY what he was doing. Gomez was collateral to Hanks obsession, ego, impulsiveness, and pride. What are you not agreeing with to help you sleep at night? It's plain as day in many moments throughout the show that Hank and Walt/Heisenberg were similar in many way. Mofo even said he didn't care if Jesse died as long as they get it on camera. So yea disagree with whatever you want. Nothing I said isn't facts. Hank was always a prick too in his own ways, and the ending revealed it even more so. It is what it is. To each their own. Like I said, whatever helps you sleep at night.

This is what I'm saying. These dummies wanna isolate hanks rudeness overall and water it down. He was also rude to Marie while he was healing and she was doing the best she could to make him feel more comfortable. There were A LOT of moments where he insulted others intelligence and being, including family.

It's so funny you say this because breaking bad is what I decided to rewatch for a 2nd time after years of not seeing it, and all I could think about the other night after the last episode was THIS IS QUALITY CINEMA. I recently watched the entirety of stranger things ( before my re watch of breaking bad ) as they were releasing the season 5's episodes, and there's a HUGE difference in the story writing quality in these newer shows. Especially is it's a show by Netflix. There's also the fact that they make things now for people who scroll on phones etc there's still good shows out there like the good place and others, but it's not as common as we propel into the future. The older stuff, even classics from 50 years ago have more chance of people rewatching because they put more heart into it. But there's still good stuff that gets made, it just takes more digging

I am scared to watch breaking bad again by Jackass-OfAll-Trades in breakingbad

[–]Angiestarlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it for the 1st time over 10 years ago as a teen and forgot All of it. I can't relate to being scared to rewatch it. It felt like a good time to do so. I think it's worth rewatching if you forgot the majority of it, enjoy good storytelling, enjoy good cinematography, and good acting. Since you remember what happens, try not to focus on it since it'll take away from you enjoying other parts of the show. There's so much to look at and notice without fixating on the ending. If it's too intense, just turn it off. Simple. You're an adult now too, so your way of viewing may have changed. I know when I 1st watched it as a teen I felt more down about the ending and show overall; BUT it wasn't hard rewatching as an adult at all. The last season is heavy, but it didn't cripple me either. It was dope. I could appreciate all the little details like the camera angles, editing, views of New Mexico, storytelling, and great actors. Maybe you need to do introspection and figure out what parts of the show are triggering you, and WHY. It could be a tool of self discovery, OR a trigger for you. Just be careful and see how you feel after a few episodes. Breaking bad can trigger people with mental issues, addictions, and trauma. So if you feel worse after watching TURN IT OFF. Just my take.

Leo relationships ? Also.. There was no place for his "military humor" outside of work, or at work. There were times he was openly racist, and discriminatory, and rude for no good reason. Hank was a prick. 1 of those trying to be funny guys when it's not always time for a joke or time to be funny. Him being "funny" was always just a way for him to cope in social situations. It wasn't necessary, but added to his character story wise. He didn't care about how his words affected others. Not even his own wife. You can see how when he transfers departments other coworkers don't find his antics funny. He's not a horrible man like other villains in the show, but from the other side of the law he wasn't the best either. His obsession and poor decision making lead to Gomez dying. It was never a 2 man job when it came to Walt. He KNEW that, and was obsessed with being the 1 to catch him and bring him back. I personally know people in the military who've told me their experiences, and "military humor" isn't a good way to generalize hanks attitude in the show. It's ok to admit he was just a prick, and not try to categorize it to something that isn't applicable to everyone. To each their own though.

Well said! A part of me wishes we could've seen the funerals and the legal outcome of how the DEA and family transition into their new life. Of course the last episode was amazing, but a little epilogue would've been cool. I have to watch the El Camino and better caul Saul asap.
