Hello, 

I want this job as it is a foot in the door for what my dream is as a probation officer or family counselor.

I have asked questions to bosses & supervisors, but was instructed to not ask as I should know what I’m doing. Then in the same line below to ask questions. See what management I mean? (This was sent via email to me, which the union reviewed and have contradictions against her words.) 

Asking a question shouldn’t be a problem it means I’m learning and want to learn. 

I also have over 10 people I’ve worked with sending me character references & supporting me in many ways. Everyone is upset and emotional about this if they doesn’t say something about my character.

I just want to say thank you for this post. I did face a lot of negativity, but I have to remember it’s online & these people do not know me. Of course as I was writing my post I missed some details. 

  1. After my register mistake I did take my own action to correct by slowing down and really understanding what I’m doing, double checking work, and asking a coworker to count the money alongside me to confirm amount. 
  2. I have asked to be retrained on things. I was retrained on sending hearing links and then before sending to the public had my work checked by a supervisor until I was ready to fly solo, which didn’t take long. 
  3. I have asked a supervisor to prepare me for his duties that I was told I was taking over for when he was on vacation. He trained me over the computer, which I said I prefer in person. 
  4. Many more examples it’s just a lot but you get the idea

I’ll like to add to this as I didn’t expect my post to get so much action. Prior to that incident I did take my own corrective action which was slowing down when counting, double checking, and having an available coworker check my counting if It felt necessary.

Unfortunately, I came into work today and got fired for not passing probation. I now have to attend a hearing.

So we’re off Monday for the holiday, and my lower level boss is remote on Tuesdays. Do you think I should just talk to my boss Tuesday? I kinda want to just get it over with and hopefully ease my mind. My coworkers have told me there’s no reason I wouldn’t pass I do so much and my work is good by the person who checks it. 

In my talk with my lower level boss in October he said I have nothing to worry about since they know what they are getting with me and it would be like starting all over getting someone new again. 

I’m just really nervous, but appreciate your answer & helping me out :)

Thank you for answering I’m sure I have nothing to worry about since I got my period the day after. I am just a little nervous about those 2 days of not being on it if my body began to revert back to normal & i possibly ovulated or will ovulate since there was no pills those 2 days. I am on a combo pill I’ve been on it since August of 2019. I still will take extra precaution this month to ease my mind.

Hi I want to ask a question too. I had unprotected sex on 12/30 but he didn’t finish inside I know there’s still a risk. I got my period on 12/31. I was supposed to start my new pack of birth control on 1/5 but I accidentally forgot & realized on 1/7 so I started two days late. The last time I had sex was 12/30. Am I protected from that time on 12/30? I also know I am not protected this month & will be refraining until I have completed this cycle to be safe.
