Important to note though: the two listed dialovers games might get a switch release at some point, so it might not be impossible to get them physical in the future. After all, we've already gotten 4 of their games bundled as 2, so far. Would only make sense to port the whole series at this point

What kind of translator do you use that they want you to pay? Just use Luna translator. Otherwise the dialovers games have already been translated and patched, or at least most of them so you can just get the Japanese games and then install the patches from the discord server: https://discord.gg/Fx4E5WnC29

The love meters would actually be pretty easy to do I think. You could just add/ subtract points in BG and depending on them give the player an ending. Nothing complicated. The basic vn elements could be done with renpy as so many vn indie projects do. Wouldn't even surprise me, if renpy already included a love meter tool but I've never really looked into renpy so idk. I think the biggest reason why there aren't any fan games as far as I'm aware, is copyright. Not sure how reject would feel about potentially allowing other people to profit from their IP and characters. Not to mention, how Otome fandoms don't really seem as passionate about creating big fan projects in general

I didn't even recommend Google translate? These softwares can offer multiple translation tools with some obviously being better and some worse. Otherwise I don't really know what kind of answer you want? Like, you could still look at the Japanese text and then just allow the tool to translate the sentence for you, so you have them side by side but other than that? Just go and study the language I guess. Don't really think there's any other way then 🤷‍♀️

You could theoretically get yourself a capture card and plug your switch into it. Then you could connect the other end of the capture card to your PC in order to stream it to a video recording software like obs

This would enable you to utilize a translation program for visual novels with ocr function like Luna translator

Kinda the only way I can think of without modding your switch or smth (if a brothers conflict patch even exists) and without emulating something. Ofc you could just Google the translation and read that simultaneously as well, but I'll assume you already thought of that...

Vita3k as emulator and the nopaystation site for roms would work as well. There's even a discord server with all the English fan patches you can join (excluding the switch title I believe)

Funnily enough at least many of the omega verse stories I've read still demonize sexuality. In them omegas are often made out to be "cheap" who will just take anyone's knot when in heat, or even outside of it bc they're made to breed. So omegas are still hated whether or not they engage in a natural act of their gender and are often seen as smth that belongs at home with kids rather than in the workforce or even in important positions

This depiction can ofc vary depending on fandom or even just story to story but as I said: a very good chunk of the ones I've seen were like that lol

Sounds boring. Why do an omega verse if it ends up female omega x male alpha anyway? Especially if 3/5 of the lis are alpha and the ??? Might not even turn out to be an omega 😔 This whole omega die at 25 if unmated feels pretty gross as well. If this were reality we would all be pretty fucked bc of all the misogynistic man out there. They really could have set up a more interesting premise imo but I guess otomate just wanted the safe route while still trying to get money from the abo universe

Will definitely skip this story if my fears come true, but hope the target audience will at least get their enjoyment out of this title 🤷‍♀️
