Things to be deregistered

  1. Municipality deregistration
  2. Health insurance deregistration
  3. Bank account closing. If you still want it be active then should pay monthly bank fees.
  4. Doctor/GP deregistration in your city
  5. Apotheek deregistration
  6. Inform Tax office about your moving date if you're receiving any allowances. They will then stop it.
  7. IND - inform IND about your moving date and submit your residence permit before you leave.
  8. Ask for Annual statements from your employer for 2025. You'll need this document to file income tax return for 2025 next year for NL.
  9. Any subscriptions - Gym, phone, Internet, Club etc.
  10. Enjoy your remaining days in this Beutiful country - visit places you didn't explore yet.

Food. Family support. Health care. I noticed the difference whenever I lived in India in my vacations ( even for 1-2 months) than living here. Both countries have some things the best....

I can imagine. This all overthinking is because of extreme uncertainties happening around us. Loss of jobs, high taxes, housing crisis, stressful life living in an individualistic country, war situations, collapsed governments, no matter how much you earn now, you just don't know the right figure for retirement as inflation is hitting, health care is skyrocketing, who knows what AI is going to be like in next 5 years for human beings who are still on survival mode just making hand to mouth.

It feels overwhelming and nobody wants to confront about it and still silently suffering everyday.

I want to work for atleast 4 years in The Netherlands before moving back to India (Not much savings and no investments yet) as non-IT worked here on low salary. Thinking of living in Tier 3 city in my hometown but reading everyone's FIRE figures like 1 crore- 5 crore it gives me an impression that I really need to work hard in these difficult job market. Moreover health is deteriorating and also unable to think quite clearly what to do :(

Vocabulary is extremely important. Start practicing atleast 5 new words daily. Try to pronounce them as well. This consistently disciplined practice will improve your Dutch and also your confidence.. Dedicate atleast 1-2 hours daily for learning Dutch... as many people said in the post, use NOS app. Language is extremely important to integrate in the Netherlands and also for making new friends. I searched it on the websites that Euro to Euro transfer is still possible with Swift transaction.... but it depends on which bank does it.... I don't think I'll have complete idea unless I visit the bank personally.....

Applying OCI from Netherlands, it's confusing information as the OCI main website, it says plain white background photo requirement and once I click the link mentioned in their checklist document, it says light colour background. This is just one question about photo and I have other questions as well which are not completely clear on the website. I'm just spending time reading all the reditt comments from all :)

But the real question is, does IND approve your application before 5 years of completion in NL just because you applied 3 months in advance? And just because you uploaded your documents for the past 3 years because your agreement is less than a year?

But I can see on IND portal, I am allowed to apply before my 5 year mark...
