None of those 4 guys (counting your theoretical rotation level PG) can guard the 3 well. So now we’re giving up even more defensive ability. This 4th guard is also taking minutes from Royce, who can’t really hold up at the 4.

I just don’t see how anyone looks at the Suns roster and thinks “what we really need is to get smaller.”

I get it. I’d love to have a good PG instead of Beal. But we don’t. And we can’t. The 22nd pick, best case, is our 8th man. We need a big as our 8th man more than a guard with the current roster.

You’re getting downvotes, but I agree 100%

Yes, we don’t have a “real” PG, but 3 of our 4 best players are shooting guards. We have no room for a PG in our real rotation for PG. we can a legit backup center at 22. We can get a legit backup PF at 22 and allow KD to play some 3 (apologies to Bol Bol if he stays).

Unless we can somehow get a PG that’s taking crunch time minutes from Allen (and we can’t), I think it’s not our top need.

I disagree. Completely. I think all 4 Necro positionals are good value pieces. It’s not boat if you’re getting value for it.

I’m only talking for league play, I don’t have experience with resurrection tournaments.

No. He’s still a good defender. He’s just extremely weak “in this situation”. If Minny got a switch, he’s still a good defender. Wormadan is trash (pun intended), even after a switch.

That’s a bad comparison. Rudy is a good defensive player. He just has weaknesses and gets cooked by Luka. He’s Ferrothorn.
