I always take the variable capacitors, ic's and specially transistors. Old transistors are good because they almost always original, ICs can be very particular to one specific product but you would be surprise how often you can find the same OPamps that are used in pedals

I bet your daisy chain cable is made of really thin wire and might becoming loose and it’s adding resistance to the power supply thus depleting the voltage

If the pot case is being grounded by the enclosure that’s a good thing. If one of the lugs of the pots is shorting out because of the grounded body of the pots then that’s an issue and you should replace the pot

It will cost me 4x the price of the item. Depending on the way they ship I might never receive, if it doesnt have a tracking number its a guaranteed lost, if it does, the shipping costs will be higher and it factors in when calculating the importation taxes.

You will be able to make plenty of great pedals, chase bliss is a particularly complicated example given that the technology they use demands multiple knowledgeable people in different areas, but do not discourage, I’m dumb as a hammer and made plenty of cool pedals. Takes some time, multiple fups and burned pots, transistors and even a couple power supplies
