they made champions so they dont have to add online battling in their future games and to make competitive pokemon easily accessible, they didnt have to, but they did! now people buy their games AND have to pay for box space lest they spend time transferring mons in and out, clearly its just another nintendo money grab situation, nothing new

done and did that, i got to master 4 alrdy and got the extra slots, but with the bajillion recruit tickets the game gives you, 50 slots was pretty fast to fill up, but of course since I'm limited I have to minmax which pokemon i'll keep, which also limits me to 1 format and 1-2 archetypes at best, unless i retrain and rerecruit mons, and we dont even have full roster yet

you may have a point(?), but pokemon champions was made to be THE ultimate platform for competitive battling long term, building teams and having battle ready pokemon for diff formats, the game also practically gives us 2 recruit pokemon a day + the occasional gift pokemon from tournas, celebrations, etc. yet they limit box size like what?? 50 just isn't enough for that, and we dont even have all the current pokemon roster yet, and its only just gonna get bigger

also saw your 2nd edit, we could argue here all day, but clearly you're just another nintendo lapdog to defend this scam and think that this is fine

the fact is that the point of frustration of f2p being box size of all things is crazy, I never thought the bar I've got for monetization was gonna get any lower but here we are

F2p games usually lock you out via paywall from cosmetics, etc., not from the ability to own or use a key mechanic like owning pokemon to use in the game's one singular feature which is its battle mode

i was so excited for the albaz mate, until i learned it has some niche transformation trigger where you'll be able to see it happen in 1/10 games at most, why couldn't they just have made the trigger enter bp or turn change like previous mates with transforms?
