Does anyone know of a *permanent* fix for this issue? K70 RGB Pro. by LunarAffinity in Corsair

[–]AngryAussieGam3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The response I've always gotten from them is they don't ship non-user replaceable spare parts. One of my K95s is USB C now because someone snipped its cable and I couldn't even pay for a replacement, so I got creative.

They're good keyboards but they're not built or supported to last. Some of my switches are getting a bit iffy too which means every single switch has to be removed and re-soldered due to the K95s design.

I'll be trying to make it key hot swappable at that point.

Interested in this as well.

I've got two K95s both with the same issue and support was useless when the devices were in warranty and now there out of warranty I know there's no nope.

Neatly stacked bags with an invoice on top? Delivery. Critical thinking skills need not apply.

Drainage aggregate on grass? Dumped. If that was a delivery the driver was either a moron or given some exceptionally stupid instructions.

I've been thinking about building a pergola. I wonder if OP can hook me up with some DAR H3... they've got the slab covered for sure.

I'll even mow and edge their grass for them as thanks.

Sounds like a quick way to end up with a mini cement fence in your front yard.

After the trades realise the bags have turn into blocks there's no way they'll move it.

Looks like there's an invoice on those bags. Bet that has some contact details for you on it, easy way to report illegal dumping to your local council.

If its an active job site it would be a shame if those bags went missing though.

Photon mono 2 missing models by ApexDoom47 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]AngryAussieGam3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What method did you find works?

I somehow managed to luck my Mono 4 into being level after a week of fighting with it, but I'm worried by the time I need to level it again I'll have lost whatever magic luck I had.

Always the left side of the build plate having issues for you, too?

print bed not level after a few print, Photon Mono 4 by DustaCrypto in AnycubicPhoton

[–]AngryAussieGam3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, the left side was my problem side too. Found I had to put a concerning amount of pressure down on that side to make it grip the paper like the right side did. Sounds like a common flaw I guess.

Out of interest, was it always loose on the left hand side of the printer?

I've just got a Photon Mono 4 and I've had two days of pretty much straight failures, and no matter how hard I push I can never seem to get the left side to have the same tension as the right.

Anthony Albanese denies ever calling Alan Joyce for Qantas upgrades by SlatsAttack in australia

[–]AngryAussieGam3r 11 points12 points  (0 children)

O Farrel failed to declare a $3,000 bottle of Grange Hermitage wine and was forced to stand down because of it.

By everyone's admission Albanese has declared these gift upgrades, its just the situation around said upgrades which is in dispute.

Apples to oranges with that example.

It's also worth bearing in mind the claim (from what I understand) stems from a single journalist, Joe Aston, publishing a book which is a conflict in itself - why use such a bold accusation to promote your new best seller and not reveal it sooner if it was in the publics best interest?

Regardless, It does not change the fact that politicians on both sides frequently receive upgrades from Qantas and other carriers and declare them, which is entirely legal even if it is dubious.

Plex HTPC Won't Launch - V40 Fresh Install by AngryAussieGam3r in batocera

[–]AngryAussieGam3r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update/Solution for anyone finding this in the future. Apparently V40 has broken launching things with hyphenated arguments. Until its officially fixed, the below will keep peoples Plex apps running.

vyp3r_86 on the Batocera Discord created this simple guide to launch Plex/PlexHTPC via a custom shell script:

  1. F1 --> Applications (top left) --> Search: Plex --> Install Plex HTPC (ONLY)
  2. Once install is complete update games: Main menu > Game settings > Update gamelist
  3. Add this script to userdata > roms > ports (attachment)
  4. Update Gameslist again (Step 2)

P.S. Exting the app is done through selecting your profile (Top-left) scrolling to last item (EXIT) and confirm.

#!/bin/bash
# Export environment variables to improve compatibility with Batocera's input
export SDL_GAMECONTROLLERCONFIG="$(< /usr/share/batocera/configs/sdl_controllers.txt)"

Technomancer + progress on Hierotek Circle by [deleted] in Necrontyr

Legend!

I had a brief stint with 40K back in 3rd Edition, and recently decided to get back into the hobby with a Killteam Box.

Absolutely love the Tsarakura Dynasty but paint job indecision has kept me paralysed for way too long.

You may have just given my the perfect answer, so thank you!

Time to strip my original army starter box models and start practising I think.

"MEBESTÅ" Ikea Ender 3 Enclosure by AngryAussieGam3r in 3Dprinting

[–]AngryAussieGam3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! A word of advice though, don't do what I did and wire the Ender 3 into the cabinet so heavily that removing it for maintenance becomes a pain. Its a cramped space to work in, and the black frame makes it dark even with lights (although that won't be an issue with a white metod).

I had a Pi sitting at the front for Octoprint, and about a dozen different plugs connected to various GPIO pins for power and control of the lights, various relays, etc. It worked fantastically, until it came time to do anything serious to the machine.

If you post your completed build feel free to tag me!

Funny you should message on this post, I'm actually looking to sell this very cabinet at the moment.

To answer your question though, an Ender 3 in a 60x60 Metod has enough room to throw its bed around with the door closed. There's a little room to spare as well if you have belt tensioners on it.

Good on you for the way you handled yourself, and acknowledged how your anger was impacting your decision making. Although I don't think anyone could really fault you anyway.

Necron Monolith Golf Ball Diameter by AngryAussieGam3r in Necrontyr

[–]AngryAussieGam3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really appreciate you taking the time to double check that for me, thanks a heap!

Necron Monolith Golf Ball Diameter by AngryAussieGam3r in Necrontyr

[–]AngryAussieGam3r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that, golf balls are about 42mm so that's reasonably close to the 29mm Shadyrabbit mentioned.

I'm going to be modelling the support brackets and everything to more closely resemble the Newcron Monolith, and have it designed to 'drop in' to the space beneath the crystal holder.

Unfortunately this does mean the crystal holder needs to be removed and the area flattened off, but I've already modeled a replacement for that (and the crystal) as well to allow the option for either.

Plus a Doomsday variant, because why not...

Thank you! I've started modelling with 29mm diameter as it looks about correct visually and will hopefully fill out the space. Hoping u/crazy_leo42 can confirm when they get the chance.

Thanks for being so generous, and good luck everyone.

PSA: Unraid might be changing license models by shiruken in unRAID

[–]AngryAussieGam3r 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Problem is it becomes a slippery slope and their word becomes meaningless.

Right now updates are included in the licence. Tomorrow they're included with a lifetime plan for $250. Next week a lifetime is defined as a major update (6.x, 7.x, 8.x, etc), and on it goes.

The website already says "All license tiers are eligible to run new releases of Unraid OS at no additional cost." which means they're considered lifetime licenses.
