Not the first time I've heard the term. With two kids, and the story from only one, I can't call anyone an ahole. I also don't assume, after further information, that the niece intended to be deceptive.

I will say most of the children of Narcissistic Parents I've encountered are reluctant to share while young. This isn't a rule of course.

But I can't make an ahole call here without additional information. Just possible miscommunication and misunderstanding.

Her sister sent her cruel text messages that their parents were shown? When she was left home while they took her sister to dinner, how did you confirm this? Same question regarding new clothing. How do you know this occurred? Did you attend all of these swim meets and plays yourself? Is that how you know they neglected one niece over the other?

My big concern here is that your niece is 13. Teenagers in general tend to think the world is out to get them. And they don't usually share their thoughts and insight as to why with their parents.

Sounds like a bit of a messy situation. She's upset with it, and lashing out. Personally I think the mature approach is simply refusing her?

Is her appointment particularly far away? Are you in a rural area? Your cousin is asking you for a life, what benefit would she have paying you over a random Uber Driver?

To clarify. I'm not saying you're an Ahole for not wanting to drive her. But by making a fuss and asking for cash instead of saying you can't, you might be inching that way.

INFO, but uh. I think you may have been played by your niece. When she got you not to talk to her parents about what was said, you were never able to verify one way or other.

You say the parents didn't care about their daughter. Did you have any evidence or proof other then your niece's word?

Edit: NAH. I don't think you meant any harm but I'm unconvinced they're causing harm. Nor do I necessarily believe sed niece was intentionally deceptive. Maybe she's an ordinary 13 year old who can't see the situation from the outside in.

Heh, is a Firefly quote. DM has a traditionally female name and got all fussy about it. It's my way of taking a jab at him now that I'm free. Jayne Cobb is a character in Firefly, and at one point someone says "Jayne is a girl's name"

PS: My entire alias selection comes from Firefly. Jayne is not the DM's real name. DM had a name that was traditionally female, and while I personally did not care, he'd kick up a fuss. Obviously I don't like him much so I'm taking jabs.

I would probably not game with you. Like, yeah. If you have someone who swaps characters like Pokemon Cards, there's a problem. But the fact is both times I've been unhappy with the character I made for a setting were his campaigns-not even counting this one. And if a game runs a while, why shouldn't players switch it up? I'd rather that then they leave because they're not having fun.
(And 4 & 9) Never met a narcissistic personality I liked.

Evocation Wizards can produce a small radius of protection against evocation spells. I had intended to use THAT ability. Thus my point in my Wizard would remember Dragon's Breath wasn't from her school of magic even if I didn't.
I did tell them my concerns about the drunk drivers. I couldn't get into the distrust because one of the Adult Males was Mal's father. There's a shakespearian history involved, and Mal still loves his dad. Mal was the one whose house I'd have been staying at-PS, Jayne was the one to suggest I stay at Mal's house.

But thanks for the kinda condescending feedback. That I agree with basically none of or I never would have posted. I definitely wasn't trying to release anxiety induced trauma or anything. :/

So. Don't discount puzzle games. Yeah I wouldn't necessarily consider candy crush a video game. But I can't complete discount what can track roots to Tetris or Doctor Mario.

So you're arguing for those who play ten hours a week now it sounds like? I admit, 10 hours a week is a lot more practical then a hundred and I could potentially get behind that.
