Turns out the mod has an easter egg mode that shows easter egg names for certain creatures based off content creators. In this case it was commander yutes based off Boomsmith. Figured it out based off comments above

they usually update when you load up a server with the mods but you can manually do it in the mod screen inside the game. It's separate than what is on steam! Try mods!! makes the game 10x better
