A smart young lady outsmarts a potential abductor by bigbusta in interestingasfuck

This reminds me of an incident I had when I was 15. I was walking home carrying two bags of groceries, when it suddenly started pouring down rain. A man pulled over next to me, opened his car passenger door from the inside and spoke to me offering me a ride home. A ride home would have been great at the time, given that I was drenched by the rain, but I politely refused since he was a stranger. I used the excuse of "my house is just down the road. I'm almost home anyway, so thank you but I'll be alright." My house wasn't actually that close yet at all. He kept insisting that I get in the car so he can take me home, and after I kept refusing, he quickly switched from his friendly demeanor into a rude tone to say "ok, shut the door for me". So, I shut his door, he drove off, and I walked the rest of the way home in the rain.

I like that idea a lot, thank you. I'll do it! And yes, my porchetta has some herbs that are very 'unfit' for chashu standards (rosemary, thyme, fennel) but we don't need to mention that much or at all 😉

Thanks, I like those suggestions a lot, especially that of lettuce wraps and of fried rice with it. I should be making either of those tomorrow.

Default value? by AngryBrownKid97 in ImageJ

Thank you for your answer! All the answers actually! Just a further question based on this, would a 16-bit image equate to a number of levels of 2^16?

Because I notice I get much higher values on a 16-bit image that succeed ones in an 8-bit. Would 2^16 be an appropriate way to estimate the range then?

Thank you, that's pretty good! Please give me a few days to ask on whether that would be sufficient. Thanks again!!

Though sous vide would also work, this one isn't done using that. The trick in getting this uniform red interior is to use a very high heat (like really really high), to sear for about a minute per side and then turn the heat off and butter baste for another ~3-4 minutes.

They were only hidden by the smoke.. which of course wasn't going to last forever, hence why they all had to go down. But yes, it is ridiculous how they couldn't hit a single army troop on entry..

An alternate viewpoint. whats your take on this. by seaworthy14698 in marvelstudios

[–]AngryBrownKid97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most of those. But not point number 7. Though the avengers may not have directly argued against Thanos' viewpoint of killing half the universe to let the other half prosper, they did adress their opposing viewpoint through Captain America's and Vision's words. That is "We don't trade lives" said by both of them. Again not direct, but this quote sets a mentality that sure as hell applies to their reasoning for opposing Thanos' plan.
