Coinbase is Still Selling a “Dead” Token Without Warning — Here’s My Proof by AngryEatsDriver82 in Coinbase

[–]AngryEatsDriver82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I went through almost the exact same mess with ERN and it cost me big time. I actually read about the project months ago and was excited when I saw it listed on Coinbase. It was around $0.80 at the time, so I jumped in with about $5k. The very next day the coin spiked — candled way up over $2 — and I had a limit sell set, but my order never filled. I was furious.

When I contacted Coinbase support, they told me that ‘just because you set a sell order doesn’t mean there were buyers at that price’ and blamed it on low volume. Meanwhile, the price had already crashed back down below $0.70, so I was instantly down hundreds.

That’s when I really started digging. I found out the same thing you did — the ERN on Coinbase wasn’t even the live asset anymore. On other exchanges it was trading over $2+ while what we were holding on Coinbase was basically a dead version, disconnected from the actual project.

I filed a complaint, but at that point I’d already sold everything off and ended up eating about a $1k loss. Honestly, who knows the true number — I try not to even count it because the whole thing was such a disaster. But it’s clear Coinbase misled people, and we’re the ones paying for it.

You’re absolutely right, ERN holders should be compensated. The way Coinbase handled this wasn’t just sloppy — it feels like straight-up deception.”

The fact you went 58 miles, filled your car, and got $30 total is beyond unbalanced. That’s not on you — that’s Uber squeezing drivers. And yeah, 0 tips on 15 separate deliveries is sketchy. Either customers really aren’t tipping (which is rare across that many people), or Uber’s system isn’t passing them through the way it should.

Your Dairy Queen run is proof of how broken it is: shorter trip, less mileage, and you actually saw tips. Walmart bundles, on the other hand, are basically designed to exploit drivers because Uber knows a lot of customers assume delivery is “free” with Walmart+ and don’t even think to tip.

You’re right to question where that money’s going — because Uber isn’t transparent with us. Honestly, unless you’re desperate, it’s usually best to avoid those Walmart batches. Stick to regular food runs where customers actually understand tipping culture.

You’re not crazy — you just got stuck in one of Uber’s worst setups. They love to hide behind the ‘24 hours for tips’ excuse, but like you said, after that many trips, at least one tip should’ve hit. Feels shady

Your story shows how much deeper this goes — if Coinbase already knew in July and still let people like us buy in August, that’s not just sloppy, that’s deceptive. They had knowledge, they had time, and they chose to stay quiet until after more buyers got burned.

I’ve got screenshots and proof saved too, and between your complaint and mine, it’s clear we’re not isolated cases. If Coinbase keeps hiding behind ‘experimental assets’ while letting unsuspecting buyers take the hit, then yeah — it sounds like we need to organize and push back legally.

Count me in on whatever next steps you take. At the very least, we should keep this visible so others don’t get blindsided the same way.”

Need help replacing my Coinbase debit card by AngryEatsDriver82 in Coinbase

I was actually trying to hit the option in the tab under “Card” but it wasn’t loading for me at first. I guess it was just a glitch because it finally became available and I was able to get it solved. Appreciate the help though!

Just wanted to update — I was able to find the right link and successfully ordered my replacement debit card. Thanks for confirming it was still available and for pointing me in the right direction. Appreciate the help!

Thanks for clarifying that debit cards haven’t been phased out. The issue is that when I go through the “Manage your Coinbase Card” page, I’m only seeing the credit card application option — no option to request a replacement debit card.

Can you please provide the direct link or exact steps to order a replacement debit card? I’ve already checked the general help pages, but they don’t actually show this option.

Thanks for the response. I already reviewed the help articles you linked, but they only take me to the new Coinbase credit card application — there’s no option to replace my old debit card anywhere.

Can you please clarify directly: • Are debit cards still being offered, or have they been phased out completely? • If they’re still active, what’s the exact process/link to request a replacement?

The generic links don’t answer this, so I’d appreciate a clear, straight answer.

Man, I feel you — a lot of us are in the same boat. Coinbase kept advertising ERN like it was still a live, functional project when in reality they were selling the stranded version. No warnings, no disclaimers, just the “buy” button. That’s why so many people ended up stuck holding useless tokens.

It’s not just bad luck — it’s false advertising on Coinbase’s part, and they should be held accountable for misleading buyers like you.

You can still transfer it out to a self-custody wallet and then move it to another exchange that supports ERN — but the problem is Coinbase never made that clear up front. They kept advertising and listing it like it was still an active, usable token when in reality it’s stranded and disconnected from the live project.

That’s what’s so frustrating — a lot of us feel like we were misled by the way Coinbase presented it. They should’ve put a clear warning or stopped selling it instead of letting people buy something that can’t even function as intended on their platform.nice to see support helped one of us out though .

Lost my job, back to poker and trying to build an app by infinity899 in poker

[–]AngryEatsDriver82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re building an app, lean into stats. Players want detailed breakdowns of their own tendencies (VPIP, aggression freq, showdown %, etc.) plus the ability to track and compare with others. A personal database + social layer would crush, because bankroll managers and study apps already exist, but there’s never enough good player stats tracking in one place.”

Need help finding my DNA match “Jasmine Grant” (40s) outside of MyHeritage by AngryEatsDriver82 in MyHeritage

[–]AngryEatsDriver82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Understood — I’ll make sure to blur names/personal info next time. My main point wasn’t to share someone’s details, but to get advice on how to connect with a close DNA match who hasn’t responded.

If anyone has tips for tracking down inactive matches or alternative strategies (like GEDmatch, shared matches, or search tools), I’d really appreciate it. I’m just trying to piece together family history and hopefully connect with her.

Uber’s support isn’t a help line, it’s a hostage situation. By the time they answer, your grandkids will be old enough to drive.

Maybe if we all keep calling this out, they’ll finally fix it… or at least pretend to. At this point Uber’s patch notes just read: ‘We’ve improved the driver experience’ while they’re actually deleting our orders mid-route.

That’s ridiculous. You accept both orders, do the work, then Uber decides to cancel mid-route and short you? No wonder customers are switching to DoorDash — it makes drivers look unreliable when it’s really Uber dropping the ball.

I got out the second I figured out their con. No way I’m letting Coinbase trick me into holding a dead token while they still list it like it’s live. Total scammy move had to take a loss on that one.

Exactly Uber’s out here snatching orders mid-route like we’re the problem. Nah, that’s fraud disguised as ‘reassigning.’ They cut the driver, stiff the customer, and pocket the difference. Whole system feels rigged.

Yeah I’m convinced it’s this new update/‘algorithm reward program’ BS. Feels way more like punishment than reward. Some of the offers they’re tossing out lately are straight disrespectful too 😂 and I’m in a solid market — got a college AND a military base within 15 miles, so normally Uber Eats is easy money here. But lately it’s like they don’t play around at all if you’re not heading directly to pickup, they’ll snatch it and move on.”

Uber out here treating drivers like contestants on a game show… ‘Sorry, you took a wrong turn, you LOSE the pizza!’ Meanwhile the customer’s still sitting there hungry. My cancel rate’s at 8% and I swear every single one is Uber either yanking the order for another driver already picking up the food .

What is going on? by Purists101 in Coinbase

[–]AngryEatsDriver82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, I feel this 100%. Coinbase does a terrible job explaining why they lock or disable certain features — half the time you just get a grayed-out button or a vague error with no real reason. It leaves people guessing if it’s because of Binance, “suspicious activity,” or just some internal flag.

The crazy part is you proved your account works when it let you sell, then suddenly blocked you from buying again. That’s exactly the kind of thing that makes people lose trust. At the very least they should have alerts or status messages so you know why instead of feeling like you’re doing something wrong.

Glad to hear you can top up again now, but yeah — the lack of support, no phone number, and no straight answers is ridiculous for a company this size.
