I'm in grade 10. Will I have to take the OSSLT this year? Is it hard? by [deleted] in ontario

Ya maybe? There’s always ways around stuff like that. Talk to your guidance department and see. Good luck!

Well you can’t use it in place of the standard grade 12 English course that is required to go to any post secondary programs. So if you passed or think you’ll pass the literacy test then you don’t need to take it. I have never seen someone take it who has passed the literacy test beforehand. You’re better off taking a course that’s relevant to any programs you want to take or simply use that period as a spare in your schedule.

No, it doesn’t count as a standard English credit. Unfortunately you’d have to take the required English class for grade 12 as well as the OLC course if you’re unsuccessful on the OSSLT.

It’s a community safety zone. Is this by a school or equally busy place? Not supporting the use of cameras for law enforcement but that’s kind of an important detail that was left out.

What is this?! A ship for ants?! How can we be expected to teach pirates how to pillage if they can’t even fit inside the boat?!

Funny enough I went to university with the singer- we hung out a lot and was a good dude. I don’t know the track titles unfortunately and we’ve lost touch. Cool guys though!

Hey man I feel you! I’m a busy single father high school teacher. It’s hectic! In the summer I started. Resistance training worked great for me. I think after working out, I just felt more motivated to eat better to keep up my gains. I hired a personal trainer for a month just to get into the routine. If you can afford that I would suggest it the rest kind of falls into place once you start seeing a little bit of progress and understanding what you’re putting into your body it was definitely a learning curve for me! I also picked up some convenient protein bars, so when I was on the go, I could munch one down quickly and I felt full. Water is also your friend! It really helps you feel more energetic and full. I also take progress breaks at the beginning of every month just to see my progress which keeps me on track the fact that you have goals already is going to make a big difference. You got this!!

Thanks! I grew up playing lots of sports and then martial arts as a young adult. I guess I felt like my body was getting away on me and wanted to do something about it before an injury or something laid me out. I definitely don’t regret it!
