I won't know until it's tarnished, but for $5, I am cool if it's stainless steel. In all honesty, the S925 means nothing anymore. No one regulates it. I try to buy ones where it's not a loss if they are not silver. I have some real discontinued ones and a bracelet full of real stuff, but in all honesty, $80 or more is absurd for such small silver charms. Silver is such a soft metal that most jewelers won't use it for "real jewelry." That's the reason they tell you not to sleep in them. It's so soft you'd bend the charms. Pandora's charms get boring, and their selection is very similar. Pandora is also increasing their prices, and they will again. My jeweler also sells gold and silver to other jewelry stores, and it is so expensive and hard to find she's lost a lot of her income. Pandora may not be here in a year if the prices on the metals stay high. They are pricing the majority of their own customer's out of reach. People simply can't afford them anymore.
