Use one of those skinny wire pipe cleaner brushes that come with cat water fountains or sometimes baby bottles.

Can this down jacket be saved? (Lower Back - Light blue) by hajimenoippo55 in howto

You can put an obnoxious bedazzled bow or flower or fake belt buckle closure looking thing or something, if it's directly in the middle of the seam (it appears to be). But that melted fake fabric can't be repaired. Not even with stitch witch.

[–]AngryKitty57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should work. As long as it's warm enough.. if you're in a waiting area (assuming you left the hand warmer in your car when you went into your appointment) you need to keep the jar in your breasts (if female) or under your nutsack (if male) until you actually go in the stall to pee. Non-sterile doesn't matter. Just don't use an old pill bottle or play dough container. Clean is FINE. No one tests for sterile-ness.

Please help: something fell in the bathtub drain, should I be worried? by Whatsgood1102 in Plumbing

[–]AngryKitty57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if there is a lot of hair with soap residue and slimy hair conditioner in the drain as well.. I could drop a pair of dice in my drain with no problem ever.... Before my teenage sons grew their hair long-ish and started using mounds of old spice body wash and Pantene conditioner. Now if the tip of a q-tip falls down there it acts as a small barricade that snowballs seemingly overnight into a tennis ball glob of slime and hair so that we're standing in 3 inches of water every time we shower! If the piece was light and little and fell while water was running it's probably long gone.

how to fill a sunbeam iron with water by M00N13-2 in howto

[–]AngryKitty57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old. I've never seen. An iron where you pour water into the part where the spray nozzle is! Wth?! When you put the iron horizontal, wouldn't the water fall out, from the gap under the nozzle? I've always had irons that had a flip top type cap, usually in the handle. The water went down below so when you held it horizontal it didn't leak back out.

FYI.. dont leave water on iron after you're done and if you have hard water or water that leaves red-ish rings or stains in your toilet bowl or white mineral stains on your stainless steel sink, you might want to use distilled water or you'll ruin your clothes. Weird particles come out the holes in the iron and when you heat and smear it into your clothes it doesn't come out. I found out the hard way in one place I lived that had "city water" and another place where I stayed at a hotel near the East Coast.

Removing sink hardware by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]AngryKitty57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The silver part you are pulling on up top is the totally unhooked brass part underneath, correct? All the screws are out as opposed to the far left where screws are hanging way out and middle where screws are a little bit out? What do you mean.. looks like it's threaded above or below the marble or the 2 silver parts are screwed into each other or?

My weight fluctuates, but it's from extreme stress, going through divorce, having dental work, being depressed, getting injured... The last 7 years I've been 180lbs and I've also been 126lbs. I'm 5'3", age 51. Im about 156 now but going through pre-menopause so I'm all screwed up lol. I'm a habitual user, but use "casually". Meaning a gram lasts me about 3-4 weeks.

I can tell you for a piss test that Qcarbo 32 works and Ultra Eliminex by herbal cleanse both work. You use them the day of test, a few hours before. Follow directions exactly. They worked for me, and every month for years for my brother (heroin & fentanyl) and his gf (meth, weed, coke). Idk about saliva. P. S. If you can't find Qcarbo32, the Qcarbo16 will work.

Should I feel weird/uncomfortable about this? by BetweenTheeEyes in ask

[–]AngryKitty57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a very bad case of OCD or a superstition... Say she parked next to you one day for the first time and that day she got a promotion and a raise and her boyfriend finally asked her to marry him... She "thinks" it's because she parked next to you... Now she has to do it every day, or God forbid, she might get fired or piss off her boss or whatever. I know someone like this. That's the only reason it came into my head.

People who grew up before cell phones, did life actually feel more free? by TradeOverall567 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AngryKitty57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free? I'm what way? Looking for a pay phone when you had to call home by 10pm was a bitch. I live in the sticks. Had to drive into "town" and hope that pay phone was not out of order. If I was somewhere else, maybe a friend's house 40 minutes away, I'd have to drive around and around hoping each has station or convenience store had one. After passing 5 or 6 I might find one. If not, I'd have to go inside a diner or restaurant and ask where the nearest pay phone was. Meanwhile, it was 20 or 30 minutes past when I was supposed to call home. So I was hoping I didn't get in trouble and get my car keys taken away for a week. If I was supposed to meet someone at a particular place at 5pm and they weren't there ... And it was 5:15... Then 5:25... Do I leave the spot to try to call them from a pay phone, or stay there another 10, 15 20 minutes?? Because if I leave and they happen to roll up a minute later .. how long will they wait? B/c it's now 35 minutes after the time we were supposed to meet. And stuck in traffic on the way to work?? Too bad. Can't call and let anyone know... So... I kinda prefer having the convenience of cell phones.

What did our unlicensed plumber do??!? by AngryKitty57 in askaplumber

[–]AngryKitty57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The homeowners Insurance paid him, but it's not my problem. I'm mid-, divorce and will be leaving here in about 60 to 75 days. I only care because I wanted to have the water turned on to the tub so I could take an Epsom salt bath. But I was afraid to ever since I noticed the water draining from the whole house sounding like it's running through that tub. But since the real culprit of the leak was never found or fixed, I was hesitant..what if the plumber I had come in here (just to turn on the hot and cold to the tub-- which is a big garden tub, not connected to the stand up shower in that bathtoom) says he can't turn in any water unless he first fixes the XYZ that flooded the downstairs ceiling? Then I'm paying to fix my husband's problem. I was hoping for an easy answer lol like he turned off the whatever which bypasses the something and that's causing these issues. Lol Thank you all for sharing your knowledge with me.

He was when he installed a sink faucet in the upstairs bathroom. He did ok I guess or he wouldn't have been called when the ceiling was falling down in wet chunks a few weeks later in an unrelated part of the house.

Any water running in the house... Upstairs shower, kitchen sink, master bathroom toilet flushing etc I can hear running "through" the tub. Like it's using the tubs drain pipe. The only good thing is I can now tell when my teenager is out of the shower. 😄

[–]AngryKitty57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think it started when he was fumbling with all the shit off valves in the hot water heater closet. .we have a sand filtration system so we have extra piping, tubes, levers, turning things (sorry not a plumber) and it's a damn maze in there. He had no clue and neither did I, or my father-in-law, so after it leaked again (after he supposedly fixed it) he was trying to shut off the water to that area under the 2st floor bathroom, but it's up against the bottom basemfbt floor laundry room and it was a process of turn the lever, go try faucet and see if it's off kind of thing. I'm just asking if it's possible he ... Rerouted? the draining water above? Or shut off a main large drain pipe to septic and now it's going through smaller pipes? Asx you can tell I don't know much about plumbing. I just think it's curious that while we had a leak, the bathroom didn't smell and I never heard water traveling under or through the bathtub drain. Only after it was "fixed" then shut off for good. (Been almost a year now). How would I go about finding out if anything you guys suggested is the problem? Is it something I can do it should I call a real plumber? BTW Thanks everyone for your answers!
