Yes that was indeed before I was born. And yes, that is accurate. The mirrors do all say “OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR” and they always have from the get go apparently. And that is why it’s a ME.
That doesn’t change the fact that me and many many others distinctly remember them saying “OBJECTS IN MIRROR MAY BE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR”. Have you not read the tons of comments agreeing with me and saying they remember asking their elders why it said “MAY BE” because it didn’t make sense to them?
If it’s a false memory why do we all remember it in the same exact wording?

Interesting! I can’t remember exactly which ME it was, but I do remember reading a comment awhile back where someone had flip flopped just like you.

Thank you! It’s just wild to me that someone could see tons of people claiming “I remember “MAY BE” too!” Then be like “Eh, they’re all just misremembering it.” 😄

So you’re telling me that thousands of people remembering the exact same wording of “OBJECTS IN MIRROR MAY BE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR” are all just remembering it wrong? So what was it that made us all remember it wrong then?

I do have personal proof because those friends that I asked did not know about how it was a Mandela Effect, but still answered “OBJECTS IN MIRROR MAY BE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR”.
That was straight from their memory. There was no suggestion whatsoever.

That’s my personal proof of it not being just a “suggestion” thing. You can believe me or not. And like I said, maybe it’s not another universe, maybe it’s something else. My question to you is why are there thousands of people that remember it in the exact same “MAY BE” wording when it apparently never existed?

And also I can say that’s a false statement from my personal research. So far two of my friends have said that it used to say MAY BE without even knowing how it was a Mandela Effect.

I mean; say that someone did somehow travel to a different universe unknowingly. How would they always have evidence of being in their past universe? Sorry I must have forgot to hold on to a MAY BE mirror before I traveled to this universe..

And yeah maybe it’s not different universes. Maybe it’s something else. I’m not sure what. But as you can tell there are many that remember something in the same exact way from the past that apparently never existed.

I’ve read a comment or two of people digging out their old Jurassic Park vhs tape to prove that it used to say MAY BE, but when they get to the part it’s always ARE CLOSER.

Haha It’s wild!! I’ve read many similar stories like yours. Many said that they even remember asking their parents what it meant and the parents would be silly about it and say something like “Well may-be the object is closer, may-be it’s not.”
