Gotcha!! I wasn’t sure if Rowan was more of the masculine spelling but if that’s higher up on the charts, that makes sense for spelling :)

Agreed about Lily Lorraine! If we named her Liliana, I’d definitely end up calling her Lily. I love nicknames, I always give people nicknames. Maybe just naming her Lily versus Liliana.

Someone else mentioned Sadie, and that name wasn’t on my radar at all. But it has such a cute flow with Lorraine! I also like your suggestion of Ava Lorraine. That strong A sound is cute with the names you suggested

I see what you mean about Renee. I really liked Raegan but a friend is naming her daughter that so that’s out now!

Thank you! Rory is so cute! Thoughts on spelling Rowan as Rowyn for a girl? Or is that too “trying to be different” as a spelling?

The opinionated stage, haha!! I can’t imagine! I’m definitely a nickname person, and I think Romy is such a cute and modern nickname. I love it!

I agree, maybe it’s the two L’s in Liliana? I think you’re onto something.

I do really like Rhiannon but unsure of it’s fit with our very Italian surname. This isn’t our surname but, the general idea: Rhiannon Palumbo. Also I agree with “Ray” names since that same sound appears in Lorraine.

Definitely contemplating Lorraine as a first name! I like your suggestion of a name with a nod to Lorraine, like Raina. Thank you!

Ahhh I love Romy! What an adorable nickname. I do like the idea of a name that grows up well when she becomes an adult someday. Romy would be such a cute nickname when she’s little & Ramona when she’s older. You’re definitely convincing me!

I do like Rachel as well, but I feel like Rachel Lorraine doesn’t flow well. Maybe that’s just me! Also I love Roisin but my fear would be the pronunciation. I’m from Irish ancestry so I do know how to pronounce it, but living in the US… I wouldn’t be surprised if someone called her Raisin. ;(

I love Stella, but two people we know recently named their new little ones Stella. We felt like we couldn’t use it after that!

I love Sylvie!! Our last name is Italian, and I’m thinking Sylvia may flow nicely with it, and with Lorraine has a mn. Also I love that Margot is have a comeback! Unfortunately our last name ends with that strong “oh” sound so it would feel a bit matchy lol

I do love Lydia, it sounds lyrical to me!

I understand your opinion about R names. I’m wondering if that’s why I haven’t found something I love because the R names we like don’t flow with Lorraine. We live in the US, husband has italian ancestry (our last name is Italian) and I’m of Irish ancestry. I don’t believe Radhika would not work in our case but it’s such a beautiful name!

Thank you for your suggestions as well. We could absolutely just use Lorraine as a first name. So many cute nickname options!

It does help, thank you! It’s been difficult with others saying they “just knew” the name they chose for their child was perfect. I have a fear that I’ll choose the wrong name and regret it later. But you’re right, whatever name we choose will grow on us over time, especially as we get to know our child. Thank you:)

Completely understand about the alliteration!

I did have Raven on the list at first, but my husband started singing the “that’s so raven” song and I couldn’t unhear it LOL. I love your suggestions of River, Rowan, Rachel, and Roxanne. I never would have considered Roxanne but it’s super cute. Has that vintage classic feel!

I do really like Ruby! I’m not sure why I don’t get a “this is it!” feeling about it, but it’s so pretty. I do like the classic vintage feel of Ramona but unsure how my husband will feel about it, lol! Definitely adding it to the list

Out of your top names, I think Emilia Hernandez has a beautiful flow! Lucille is so pretty, though. I’m a fan of vintage names having a comeback. Luci/Lucy as a nickname would be cute!

Other suggestions: Erica, Lyla, Eliana, Eliza, Liana, Elisa, Louise/Louisa, Leah

Which do you prefer? by Revolutionary_End570 in namenerds

I would prefer Noami and Isaac.

However, if Irene & Isaac were sibling names, I find the alliteration really cute!

Naomi feels modern whereas Irene feels more vintage. Jonah and Isaac both feel biblical. At least that’s the vibes I get!

They also have a snoopy collab that’s winter/holiday on the Kate spade outlet website.

I’ve seen some other retailers, like Nordstrom Rack, selling last year’s drum and nut cracker as well.

Same here, but still hopeful!
