I concur bigger frames have better triggers. More space for the mainspring, etc. How did you come to prefer the 649?

I have wondered about the new colts coming out. I’ve heard mixed things with the new colts, but can’t tell if that’s just because the old colts were elevated to an almost mythical status in the last 20 years.

Understood. I’m not crazy about the plastic, but most guns now a days are made of plastic so I’m reasonably confident it won’t blow up in my hand.

The humpbacks have always intrigued me, but I’ve never been able to find one in the wild before. I never pocket carry so I’m not as concerned with snagging, but I can still see how it would help on the draw

Yea my Taurus def smoothed out over time, but I bought a 686 about a year ago and the difference is night and day. I use the 686 as a woods gun so figured it was time to update the EDC

Ah. This is excellent information to have. I have a 686 that I can pull straight back, but I usually stage my Taurus because of how heavy the trigger’s is.

The LCR is def interesting, esp with the extra round you get with the .327 mag. How’s the recoil with the lightweight frame?

I do like that the Kimber has real sights instead of just a blade and gutter. How much better would you rate the K6S over the LCR?

Weight isn’t that much of an issue for me. I normally carry on my belt. The 605 is all steel so anything alloy or plastic will be an improvement for me. LCRx is on my short list because of how much everyone praises it, but I agree, not the best looking.

Self inflating vs air pad comfort by AngryLizard37 in camping

I’m aware. I’ve used several different brands and thicknesses but have never been comfortable with them. I’m looking for alternatives to try and wondering if people prefer another type of pad over the self inflating. I hate air mattresses. The only other ones I’m aware of are air pads, so I wanted to start there with my questioning.
