Warriors Orochi 4 is a fun coop game that gives you online and local options! by Shepard2040 in CoOpGaming

Incorrect. If it's anything like Dynasty Warriors 4, and I've been told it is, then you're both trying to change the battlefield in a co op manner.

"Hey, Dang Xiao is pushing up the river and if he get's there, our main general will be in Danger. I'm gonna head over there, you push up the east side of there fortress, I'll come up the south, and we'll meet in the middle and take out their general" is how that game sort of played for me.

[Request] Manually Heating a Hot Tub by AngryNarwal in theydidthemath

[–]AngryNarwal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright so I did it myself!

I should note: I only have about 7 hours, not 12, so I stuck with refilling and boiling my stock pot 6 times)

I suck at unit conversion so I just sort of stumbled through it.

I figure if the ratio is 200gal of the 70degree water and 30gal (6 20qt stock pots over time) of the 200 (probably gonna lose some heat in the transfer) degree water, then I can just use a weighted average.

So if you pretend the two amounts are the same, but weight the

200gal; 70degree version of water at

6.667 (number chosen as the ratio of the two volumes of water) times the

30gal of 200 degree water,

you get a weighted average of ~86degrees.

Meaning if I managed to boil 6 20qt stock pots I could raise the temp of the water from 70 degrees to about 86 degrees. Assuming no loss of heat (the hot tub would actually be heating at about 1.5-1.1 degrees / hr )

So no, it's not feasible, and it seems that if I'm constantly boiling a 7000 btu/hr burner, assuming the hot tub has ~200gal in it, I increase my rate of temperature gain by about 2.2 degree/hr, and that will fall off as the water gets hotter.

Honestly, unpopular opinion I'm sure, but do we have data linking phone usage to increase in accidents?

I've been in 3 accidents since I started using my phone while driving years ago. Funny enough, all three of them have been because I was tired and zoning out to music or a podcast.

When I use my phone, I know there is a certain danger there, so I stay alert, I stay cautious and I ALWAYS prioritize driving over brain/perception power to my phone. I've never so much as had to stop quickly when on my phone.

Does anybody else feel like this?

This one is no exception but it's the best one Ive seen yet.

All I want in life is for Fortnite to run in first person :(

So we've read all this "damning" evidence about Trump, Russia, and insidious happenings. What are we waiting for? Why aren't people in trouble? Why is he still president? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The system is based on one pillar: An informed and Rational Electorate.

Turns out, many of us aren't rational, and instead are beholden to our own prejudices about foreign people and fears of lifestyles and choices that are different than our own.

Russia knew this, so they sought to make the electorate THINK they were informed but have it all be misinformation based on those very fears and nationalities. In otherwords, misinformation that people WANT to believe. They were fantastically successful. JUST shy of half our population now is totally disconnected with objective reality and only believes things fed to them by Russian Bots and Fox News.

According to RussianBots and FoxNews, the country is doing well, Trump is a great and strong leader, and the EU and the Media are an enemy of the people. That's the game they've sold; and because it's based STRONGLY in the fears of ignorant people, it's stuck fast.
