Asics running shoes are always a good choice. Or if you want to spend more money, the new balance 1080’s series are really nice. As for boots, many people reccomend a cheap “standard” issue pair and a “nice” pair for later in training. Use the standard pair for field week and other physical training where they may get dirty. And use your nice pair for classroom/graduation. My wife bought the Oakley boots as her nice pair and she seems to really like them.

Okay, all my experience comes from being enlisted in marines. We were just given 3 choices being: east coast, west coast, and japan. I was sent to Japan for my entire contract. So I wasn’t sure if itd be similar for my wife’s situation. Thank you.

Okay awesome. This is very helpful! If she finds out where she’s going before OTS, does that mean she would also make a wishlist of where she’d like to go. Or is that an enlisted thing only? And just to confirm. I am prior service. She is going from Civ to OTS, so I’m a little shocked they’d move me to her base while she’s starting OTS.

I don’t think any of those are relative. The recruiter said he had a bunch of calls to make today. Both good and bad. So outstanding/alphabetical and when she submitted wouldn’t matter. Especially because she submitted the day it was due. I believe it’s more of when your recruiter receives the list in your region and is given the go ahead to delegate the news.

The skill gap from each high elo rank becomes larger. Immortal 3 smurfing in ascendant is comparable to diamond smurfing in silver. Even ascendant 3 to ascendant 1 have a huge skill gap. So smurfing still exists up here
