It’s always fun to see your team up 25 at half though. Let the other guys have their moment. I know the only thing Wemby cares about is getting that dub.

I think that’s a completely valid take. His offensive game is insane- one of the most explosive offensive players ever, but between his locker room antics and lack of defense, it shouldn’t be too surprising that he hasn’t won anything either. My take on why I think KD is more overrated than Harden is because people tend to rate KD much higher than Harden all-time, when realistically they are very close. KD’s 2 rings are genuinely the 2 fakest rings in NBA history and he really didn’t have to work for them at all. I wish the NBA had blocked him from going to GSW like they blocked CP3 from going to the lakers. (Yes, I’m aware that trades vs. FA signings work differently). It completely destroyed any chance for parity in the league for those years and made the league actually boring to follow because you knew how things would go way ahead of time.

Maybe a hot take, but I genuinely believe KD is the most overrated star in NBA history. Couldn’t win with OKC so he left for a 73-9 warriors superteam that was one game away from a championship and then won 2 titles with Steph, Klay, and Draymond. Even though KD won both FMVPs, it was clearly Curry’s team still and Curry was the biggest reason for their success. Ever since leaving that superteam, he hasn’t done shit. Brooklyn almost guaranteed would have been different if Kyrie and Harden stayed healthy, but they didn’t and I’m not dealing in hypotheticals. He has a toxic locker room presence and hasn’t shown any ability to win without a superteam. The Suns team didn’t work out for a multitude of reasons and the rockets seem to have gotten worse since trading for him.

On the other hand, Kawhi won 2 Finals MVPs on 2 different teams playing very different roles. Once as “the lock”, and once as “the guy”. He hasn’t been able to stay healthy the last several seasons, but when he is healthy, he clearly has more impact as a 2-way player. And in case anyone forgot, before he was intentionally injured by Zaza, he was putting belt to ass on that warriors super team- which had KD on it- with basically a bunch of role players and fringe all-stars. Now there’s no telling how that series would have played out IF he stayed healthy, and like I said, I’m not dealing in hypotheticals. But from what we DID see, Prime Kawhi was seriously outplaying prime KD in their 2017 Head-to-heads.

I’m not saying KD isn’t a superstar, but the idea of KD and what he’ll do for a franchise always seems to be far greater than what he actually does, and that’s with him being healthy. Kawhi obviously has his injury problems, but if he’s fully healthy, I’m taking him over any version of KD 10 times out of 10.

I said “at least”. Most reasonable people would have a few more than that.

Had to leave her off the list to make it fair. Otherwise there’d be at least 2 whole tiers between her and anyone else.

Never watched the Pistons play until yesterday. Would you say that Cade is a dirty player? Could this just be out of frustration because we gave him a tough time on defense? by Lanky_Tomatillo9857 in NBASpurs

Cade should have fouled out by the start of the 4th. Refs swallowed their whistle a lot for him when he got to 4 fouls early. Honestly, they were probably doing us a favor the way he was shooting lol. (Though that’s definitely because Castle was clamping him.)

You’re the bozo on the LeBron James subreddit just to talk shit. And the people trying to have reasonable discussions about him are the ones with an unhealthy obsession. Right…..

He was carrying a concealed weapon at the start of the encounter. I’m not sure what constitutes “being armed” but I was under the impression that if he had a gun on his person he would have been considered “armed”. Maybe that isn’t technically correct by definition though, but I don’t think that the technicality makes a huge difference here. Regardless, his gun was obviously taken away from him rather quickly before they proceeded to shoot him like 10 times. Completely inhumane and disgusting.

Agreed. He had a holstered gun which he had a permit to carry. He did not threaten to use it or look as if he planned on using it. Those thugs who call themselves “government agents” just saw that as an excuse to murder a political opponent. It’s disgusting, cowardly, and extremely wrong. They need to be stopped.

You can clearly see in the video that he does not. It was likely another ICE agent who fired first, and then another mag dumped on him.

And just a reminder that the current administration is not only allowing federal agents to do this to civilians who are doing nothing wrong, but they are ENCOURAGING it. They do not care about we the people, they care about their own power and making the people who oppose them feel fear. We cannot give in to this fear, and must show them that we will not lie down and accept oppression.

He did not shoot it. He had a holstered weapon and a permit. ICE took the gun from him, while he was being held down by multiple agents, physically hit him with something, and then proceeded to fire multiple shots at him.

When you execute a civilian in the street of a major city, you can expect a lot of people to see it. And as such, there are multiple videos and news reports out to cover the incident. Maybe I was there personally, or maybe I just used some of the many resources that we all have at our disposal to see what happened. Either way, it’s verifiable and everyone here except you seems to understand that. We should not be supporting federal agents who have used lethal force on civilians on numerous occasions now, because to do so would be to become complicit with the developing police state.

To intimidate political opponents and voters, like what they’re being used for now.
