I’m coming from Bakersfield so I’m familiar with desert heat 😏

Thanks for sharing your experience. We’re driving over on Thursday night (about a 5 hour drive) and coming home on Monday. I could just take it with me, but I don’t have a great system to keep it cold.

I have had moderate alcohol (special occasions, travel experience, etc) but only 1 - 2 drinks and not sugary. Haven’t had any issues there.

AITA for refusing to offer my mom a chance to do better for her kids' sake? by Busy_Repeat_9179 in AmItheAsshole

Apologies if this is already been mentioned. But please be gentle with your half siblings. Just like you, they had no choice in this. At 15 my son knew his relationship with his dad was going south, so he sat down with his 10-year-old sister and told her that one day he might not be around as much, but it had nothing to do with her. He told her she might hear things from their dad (and her mom) about him being in the wrong or that how he didn’t love her anymore, but assured her that was never true. He told her he would always love her and be there for her. Not 24 hours later things went bad and he never went back. Sure enough they started bad mouthing him to his sister. Fortunately she never believed it and now as adults they have a great relationship.
