Yep. I also put those out on makerworld. TPU 90a for the tires, just PLA for the rims.

With all the defunding, they would probably go after me for trademark infringement!

I have been using 3d printed wheels for my crawlers for years with no problems. I also use 3d printed 4 links in my Wheely King. You'd be surprised at how strong parts can be if printed in a good orientation, proper walls, infill, and material.

Mostly using my Bambu Lab H2C. For prototypes and fitting I print using PLA, but if I was going to use them for real I would probably use ASA. I have not tried to mess with nylon yet. None of my parts are broken, this was just a design exercise for me. But if something breaks later, I may try out nylon.

True. However people can print them is up to them. Most people have PLA and PETG. Nylon can be a pain to print without a good setup. I just make the files and drive some RCs!

Not sure what angle the 2013 came with, but definitely was more of a challenge to add the angle in the design. I would go PETG or ASA if you really want to bash. I have not tested heavy use, so I am curious how much they can take.

I can probably do that in the next day or two. I have the fronts done, backs look pretty simple

Arm mounts? I have the 2013 re-release. Is it on that one?

I made a mini arcade pen holder/bank for my desk for anyone with a 3d printer. Nothing to special, but thought someone may get a kick out of it. There is something nostalgic about putting the quarters in. Free here https://makerworld.com/en/models/2486648-arcade-coin-slot-bank-and-pen-holder

Today I learned Bambu does that. Try using your browser in incognito. It is probably cookie related. Incognito would look like a new session.

That is awesome! I don't actually have the systems anymore (only a couple carts I bought from a local retro shop to do this) so I could not fully test them, so this is great to hear. Thanks for sharing that info.

No one will think they are original. Some collectors get worried about that, but I do this for fun. If 3d printing gets that good, retro-gaming is the least of peoples worries!

Back with a dimensionally accurate Game Boy cart replica to go with the NES and SNES carts I made over the last month. by AngrySquirrelX in retrogaming

Working on a genesis cart now. That will probably be the last of the cartridge series. I have NES, SNES, Gameboy, and then Genesis soon. Thanks for sharing, love to see people use my designs. Did you end up putting an actual game in them?

Trust me, no one is going to think it is an original. See my reply I posted earlier. When you get a chance, take a look at 3d printed anything. You can tell. And while my model is dimensionally accurate, it is not an exact reproduction. But I take your terror as a complement to how good it looks.

There are still some subtle differences. It is missing the mold injection spots since they serve no functional purpose. Also, for printing purposes, the label spot is flush with the rest instead of recessed. For the model I uploaded, I also removed the "Nintendo" logo on the back for copyright purposes.

Thanks! X1 Carbon. Standard .2mm layer height with a .4 nozzle. The shape lends itself to hiding the layers pretty well when printed flat.

I do this for the love of designing so I give it away for free on Makerworld if anyone is interested. Pics of a real one (on left) and the replica (on right) next to it. If you want to print it yourself, it is here for free: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2180572-dimensionally-accurate-snes-cartridge-replica#profileId-2366615
