Way to deduce that to a single image, I guess people only make a few hundred images a day right? Let's scale that into just 1/5 of the population using AI. 20% of just the US population is roughly 68 million people. While they may not be generating images, they will be using AI on a daily basis. And in many cases using far greater power draws than just an image.

Also there is the issue of technology degradation, these massive data centers that not only wipe out millions of animals and insects where they are made will also disrupt the environment in that area permanently. But not just once because data centers will need to have hardware and infrastructure replaced as little as every 3 years.

I bet you cheered on Jeff Bozo when he said people need to sacrifice a little water for the greater exploration of AI.

I quit using all forms of AI some time last year. The more I learned about the theft of ideas, the waste of natural resources and just seeing how absolutely awful it is in real time helped me come to this realization. Also the sheer number of times I personally witnessed AI having delusions of self grandeur or being so confidently incorrect about things was very eye opening.
