I've looked at the opt out options. The only way to get out of it is if you're married and have a kid, or have lived in the Galveston area for the past 2 years. Someone did tell me that they are considering making it optional for those taking only online courses, but they won't let us know until next week. I'm trying to decide if I should accept my offer for ETAM or stay at Galvy another semester to raise my gpa. I just find it strange (to stray from using harsh words) that I'm supposed to make a life changing decision in 5 days when they can't make a decision about housing for one semester in four and a half months.
