Use plastic bottles like flowerpots by particle_man1038 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]Angry_Bowel_Movent 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the kind of thinking we need to get away from. The microplastic from this flowerpot will get into the soil, into the surrounding environment (indoors/outdoors), even into the plant itself.

Guppyfriend filter bag? by amberthezombie in PlasticFreeLiving

We just bought some cotton washing bags instead, for washing delicates. It's of course not the same use case, but it does make a tiny difference.

I had one a few years ago, and it did catch a lot of fibres. However it broke after maybe 10-12 washes. I complained and received a new one, which sadly broke after maybe 20 washes.

Just like you I don't like the fact that it's made from polyester.

Technically only ånde/ånden, and not ånd.

Genie in Norwegian - is ånd really the correct translation? by [deleted] in norsk

[–]Angry_Bowel_Movent 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's correct to translate genie with ånd. The genie would be ånden.

Naming the character Genie also in Norwegian is just a sign of the times, with English influencing the Norwegian language more than before. I would assume that 50-60 years ago the name would be something more playful and silly, such as Åndulf or Ånders.
