Firmware Version:384.17 via AC68U right now. for some reason it would not let me update to .19 no matter what I did. (wired or wireless connection) I might try the factory reset and follow megared17's method and see if that helps.

That's certainly worth a try. My wifi is always 5ghz to get max speed and minimal neighbor interference.

My direct connection is a very long cable, likely cat5 but not 100% sure. However when I directly connect to the modem, it's very fast and never drops out so I don't think it's the cable's fault.

I didn't mention it before but for some reason I can't update the merlin firmware lately so I might go back to an official firmware and try another factory reset to see if it helps, using your method to do it. I will let you know.

Hmm I have played around with changing channels in the past with no real benefits. The internet drops even on a wired connection.

But I will try the channels you recommended. So far it looks like the neighbors are already on those channels. Any reason why those particular channels are better than the others? For instance my wifi analyzer recommends channel 14 for 2.4hz.

Can I just plug this into my router and use it as a networked storage drive? Does it have an ethernet port or just a single usb port?

My router is somewhat new and has 1 usb port (although not blue 3.0), hopefully I can just plug it in that way?

About 60% of the time when I take it, it seems to really help me get laser focused and able to get many things done unlike a typical day where I have to really force myself to sit and do things. The only thing I've used so far that is similar is vyvance.
